I'll be anticipating

No, this is not another "oh my, how time flies" post. I just can't believe how fast time really is. Imagine, it'll be June on Monday! June~ sixth month of the year, end of the 1st half and 2nd quarter... Although that could be also be a good thing since there are events I'm anticipating for towards the 2nd half of the year~
3 more months til:
my birthday
new season of Chuck & GG

4 more months til:
AD's wedding

5 more months til:
Twilight: New Moon

6 more months til:
Christmas!
Vicky's baby will come out. I hope it's a girl.
OMG, I only have four more months to lose the poundage! Pressure. Seriously, I don't wanna look like a yellow blob. Must practice self-discipline so I can be like those skinny bits on tumblr. Eto ang aking goal:
How can I be like this skinny bits? Look at those arms... That's like 10 years ago for me. Must lose weight so I can wear something like this and not look like rellenong something.

MM's birthday last Wednesday. She was here to accompany MR whose going back to NY for work. It was a nice day... MM's lunch treat with sisters and cousins in Kamayan. Pasyal ng unti then went to Galle to buy MR's pasalubong for cousin Michael. We went home to get the Joseph Estrada movies AC bought for Uncle Ossie. Heard mass. Tsai Tsien.

Thursday, MM and I met at Mega for another day out. It was an adventurous day for MM. She rode a jeep going to Monumento and was trapped inside the LRT for hours! At least, maraming siyang bagong experiences, diba? We watched Sharon Cuneta and Ai Ai's movie BFF. In fairness, fun naman siya. Although as AB said, it is not believable that someone would leave Sharon for Ai Ai. Ditto.
Casting's a little off. They should've gotten someone else for Ai Ai's role, someone like Rufa Mae. Anyway...

I find Joy Viado and Chokoleit funny. How the two of them would stand beside Sharon... they reminded me of Flotsam and Jetsam. Haha!

And a bonus for me: Enchong! Although he had like only 2 scenes in the entire movie, still...

Gloomy Friday. But I'm trying to make the best out of it. Have something to look forward to... even if it's just something as trivial as waiting for your next harvest in Farm Town ;)

the idea of waiting for something
makes it more exciting.

Adios a todos! I have to make my sister's paper.

I'm going all cougar on new eye candy... Enchong Dee.

Cute =)

I still RPattz especially with those cute photos of him in Cannes but Enchong's new blood. Well, at least to me.

Must. Watch. Boystown.

He goes to DLSU pala... Unfair. Bakit walang ganyan ka-cute nung time ko?!?

Fated to Love YOU

In the absence of Chuck and Gossip Girl, I looked for new series to waste my time on. After doing some work-related stuff last Saturday, AB and I went to Metrowalk for some DVD shopping. I only bought Taiwanese series Fated to Love You and Spanish movie Volver.

I'm already on the 11th episode of Fated to Love You! I get all giddy watching this series. At last, after soooo long, only now have I watched another Asian drama/series that's worth watching. I noticed that recently, there has been a lack in good Asian series. No one makes dramas like Winter Sonata, Phoenix/Firebird, Mianhada Saranghada, Goong, etc. anymore.

Anyway, I didn't really intend to watch Fated to Love You. I only knew of its existence when I caught 1 episode on local tv. After seeing that 1 episode, I hear people talking about it EVERYWHERE! So I got curious about it. Moreso when I heard 2 men discussing an episode. So I bought myself a copy.

I was unproductive the whole day yesterday since I was glued to the tv set watching this. Just so I could hit 2 birds with 1 stone, I'll be going to the POW later and watch it there instead. Ahaaay...

GG S02 E25: Goodbye Gossip Girl

What a nice season finale that was albeit not as explosive as I originally wanted it to be. Anyway, here are a few thoughts on GG's season finale:

What was Vanessa doing in the graduation? She's not even immediate family. Whatever, Vanessa. I really hate you.

I loved the dress Blair wore in the grad party. Too bad, only skinny bits can rock it.

As for the labels Gossip Girl gave everyone, I think only Nate's hits the mark. He has hooked up with Serena, Blair, Vanessa and Jenny. Not to mention azucar de mama.

Nelly Yuki has a crush on Dan Humphrey. Cute :)

That new girl Penelope & Co. are grooming as the next "queen bee?" Well, I don't think she has it. I mean, look at her... her hair looks stringy. And she looks like Kathy Griffin. Hello! They should get someone as cute as Blair, no?

Everyone's going to NYU.... Even Serena. Serena's staying in NY to make sure she stays relevant. Brown schmrown. Who needs to go to an Ivy when she has bazillions of money? She can not study if she wants to. Bah.

Nice nice nice. Although it didn't made me want to skip all the months before September, I'm still looking forward to GG's third season but without the same intensity of anticipation I had while I waited for the second one.

A sign

This is sad.

There are some times when you ask for a sign whether you'll give up a certain something (or someone, in some cases) but secretly you're wishing that the sign you're asking for wouldn't come. So you ask for the most improbable and impossible conditions, but when you looked to your right, there it is... the sign you're asking for. Tragic, right?

That's what I felt when I saw this photo on tumblr. Well, it's like saying you'll love this person forever and would only stop loving him/her when pigs begin to fly. Obviously, she/he wouldn't want to let go of this person just yet given the condition~ pigs don't and never will fly. But then she/he saw this balloons shaped like pigs.
Well, whaddya know...
Some pigs do fly, at least those that are filled with helium.
There is your answer.
So stop it already.

whaddup

Being the incoherent person that I am, this entry will be in bullet points...

We finished nivel 24 last Saturday. Yay! Just 4 more levels to go and we're done. We choose conversacion & gramatica for next level. We need gramatica review soooo bad. Seriously, I don't know how I reached nivel 24 without really understanding Spanish grammar. I swear I can't even speak the language fluently. Must. Practice.

Cheek just came home from Spain and Portugal and we all had pasalubong from him. It became kind of a "tradition" that anyone who goes somewhere brings a little something for everyone. I currently have lots of keychains and what-have-yous from other countries courtesy of my classmates. Usually, keychain is the default pasalubong, but this time Cheek brought us this super nice ceramic coaster from Portugal. Yay! Another addition to my growing collection.

He also gave us Filipino biscuits from Spain. Filipinos: Biscuit covered in dark chocolate. I wonder why they're called Filipinos. Maybe because we Filipinos are brown in complexion but we have colonial mentality, we want to be white, so to speak.

For last Sunday's lunch-out, AD treated us to Thai Kitchen buffet. The first time we ate there which was like one to two years ago, the food was great (I loooove Thai food) and it's really value for money; however, this time it seems as if the foods had lots of extenders. I don't know if you could call that tom-yum soup. The soup's not even red! I know it's supposed to be color red, right? Disappointing.

Yesterday, I was having an awful day but this made me H.A.P.P.Y.

People of Buymoria, rejoice! I love love love Chuck.
And when most people say "Wake me up when September ends," I say "Wake me up when September's here!"

It might not be a full 24-episode season but still... it's Chuck! I can live with that.

Gossip Girl's season finale today. Downloading it as we speak I type.

I have a new addiction~ Red Mango.
I need it when I want it, I want it when I don't
Tell myself I'll stop everyday, knowin' that I won't
I got a problem and I don't know what to do about it
Even if I did, I don't know if I would quit but I doubt it
I'm taken by the thought of it
and I know this much is true
Baby, you have become my addiction
I'm so strung out on you
... but I like it

pffft

Oh my gulay, How time flies!

I just realized that it's already the middle of the month of May. May, for crying out loud! When in anticipation, you would always want time to pass by quickly but then you suddenly realize that it went by too fast. Sometimes I wonder if it's good to be always in anticipation of something. Like for example, I want it to be Christmas already... and when it's already Christmas, I'll wonder where the 6 months went. Anyway, there's no use crying over spilled milk... I guess I would have to just make good use of the time from now on. Well, I'll try.

And speaking of trying, I'll try to read a new book instead. I get pretty bored with Eat Pray Love kasi. I'll try The Time Traveler's Wife. I'll shift from one book to another. I still want to keep up with my quota of 2 books per month. Para hindi tayo ma-Alzheimer's pagtanda.

Adios!

Wish

It's been a while since I last posted a postsecret post card in here. Well, it's been a while since I really liked something in there.

I like this postcard.
Even if it's sad.

The Rachel Zoe Project

I am hooked on this show. I didn't like Rachel Zoe before because of all the bad rep being Lindsay Lohan and Nicole Richie's stylist when they were, like, stick-thin. Plus, she looks like a raisin. She looks 50, 'no?

But the tv show changed all that. I like her now. She's so niiiice. I was expecting her to b*tchy and all but she's not. And I mean, she can be b*tchy as what's expected of high-profile people but she surprisingly not. Even if her assistants don't always do what she wants them to do, she doesn't scold them or anything. She calmly speaks to them. I like that. I mean, how does she do that? I hyperventilate even with the littlest of things. I have yet to see how she gets really mad.

GG S02 E23: Valley Girls

Love this week's episode. Now, GG has to wow me on next week's season finale. I should know better than to have high expectations but I really think and expect GG will kill it next week. I hope they won't disappoint.

♥ First and foremost, Andrew McCarthy guest starred on this episode.

Well, I didn't know it was Andrew McCarthy until I saw his name on the screen and figured out that it was him playing Lily's dad. I crush Andrew McCarthy and still think that he looks cute given his age.

But he's much much cuter way back then...

It's just so surreal to think that growing up does happen. Well, yeah, from the point of view of a person with Peter Pan complex, como yo, it's quasi-hard to accept that we all have to grow up and be adults eventually. So even if I didn't belong to the generation of McCarthy and Molly Ringwald, it still is scary to see that they who once played as teenagers are now playing the roles of parents.

Going back to GG...

Just a thought... did Lily like Rufus because his speaking voice is similar to her father's?

♥ How Hollywood do their casting is just really amazing. I mean, the younger Cece is just like the old Cece, mannerisms and all. And Lily... I didn't know she used to be high-pitched... well, who knew, right? Hehe.

They're thinking of a GG spin-off about Lily Rhodes's rebellious teenage years. I'm not sure if I'll buy that. I think flashbacks would suffice.

♥ Whatever, Lily and Rufus! It's either you do or you don't. Get together, I mean. Rufus said it, even after 20 years he still doesn't know what to make of their relationship. Hindi ba nakakapagod 'yun? These people sure know how to torture themselves.

♥ This boy from the valley reminds me of Dan Humphrey... riiiight???

The way he juts his lips, I swear I thought he was the young Rufus Humphrey but I think that the young Rufus Humhprey's would look way better than this guy. Dan Humphrey didn't get his father's good-looks, obviously.

♥ I bet Dan + Serena is happening next season.

And I totally agree with NY Magazine on this one:
Serena didn't know she was going to be arrested before today. So she clearly would have had a prom dress already. Minus only 2, because at least Lil J's creation managed to do the near impossible - tame Serena's boobs.
♥ I never really liked Blair and Chuck's pairing until the moment I realized that what they have could be true and not just a game, as how it started. Although I still think that Nate is waaaay hotter than Chuck Bass, he made me swoon with giddyness on this one.

How sweet it is of Chuck to want to make Blair happy even if he wasn't part of that happiness? Technically, he is part of it and is actually the perpetrator who made sure Blair would get her happily-ever-after.

But you get what I mean, haay... altruistic love.

Finally, Blair decides.

I love her and her witty repartee and am glad that she has made up her mind. It's no surprise to me than she would end up with Chuck Bass in the finale... thanks to spoilers. But we all knew that the storyline would, sooner or later, go into that direction. Chuck+Blair makes me more kilig than Nate+Blair.

Dear GG season finale,

PLEASE DO NOT DISAPPOINT.

Love,
Me

futuro perfecto

I saw this dress on the internet while blog-hopping and right from the moment I laid eyes on it, I fell in love with it. I think I want to wear something like this when I get married. That is, if I get married.

I showed the dress to AD. But she only liked it whereas I LOVE IT. She said I would have to lose weight muna before I could pull off something like this. Oo nga naman, kasi kung hindi, magmumukha akong sofa na tinabunan ng katya.

Anyway, since we're in the topic of cheesy stuff... my favorite song as of the moment is Natasha Bedingfield's Again. If and when I get married, I want to play this song. It kinda has the same meaning as Rascal Flatt's Bless the Broken Road.

hands over my head thinking what else could go wrong
would have stayed in bed, how can the day be so long?

I missed the first train, stood out in the rain all day
little did I know, when I caught the next train there you were to sweep me away
guess that's what I waited for

never believed that things happen for a reason
but how this turned out removed all my doubts
so believe that for you I'd do it all over again ( do it all over again)
all I went through it led me to you
so I'd do it all over again.

whoever thought a day gone so wrong could turn out so lovely

Pick Flicks

Pick Flick #1: Role Models
Paul Rudd, Seann William Scott, McLovin

Funny movie.
I was actually hesitant to buy this movie at first. I was thinking that maybe it was not my kind of comedy. I don't know. I can't really say what kind of comedy it is I like. For example, I liked Knocked Up but hated Forgetting Sarah Marshall, which was made by the same people, I think.

It was raining expletives in this movie but I must say that my favorite bit was when Ronnie died. I love it. I was laughing so hard during that scene.

Pick Flick #2: Iron Man
Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow

Yes I was the loser who didn't watch Iron Man in the cinema. But I am a happy loser who didn't watch it in the cinema. Or else that would have cost me P100++. Well, it wasn't bad. Actually, it was good, only I was expecting more. My sister's boyfriend said that it's better than Transformers... eh, I was a super fan of Transformers. So I was kinda expecting much more and the movie didn't live up to my expectations. Another reason why I watched was I got excited when Tony Stark made a cameo appearance in Incredible Hulk. Could it be that they'll make a movie with the two Marvel Comics superheroes together? I like.

Pick Flick #3: Xmen Origins: Wolverine
Hugh Jackman, Liev Shcreiber

First and foremost, I just wanna say that I ♥ Daniel Henney! He is so guapo. I swear. Even if he plays a bad guy here, I can't get myself to hate him. But... I prefer that he doesn't talk. I kinda don't like his speaking voice. Ewan. Even in Kim Sam-soon, I didn't like his voice already. I mean, what happened Daniel? Usually, Korean men have deep voice. Anyway, he's still super duper eye candy ;)

This movie's UH-MAZING! Galing-galing! I loved the special effects, etc.

When I was younger and still playing on the streets with my playmates, we used to re-enact X-Men. Each of us have assigned characters. The day they assigned characters, I think I was with my sisters looking for a summer class to enroll in. Imagine my disappointment when they they said I was Professor X. Professor X! They gave the Jubilee role to a 3-year old kid who doesn't even know who Jubilee is. They just had to give me Professor X... tsk, tsk... I mean, Professor X is powerful and all, but I want my character to have hair. Anyway, what I initially wanted to say was out of all the Xmen characters, Wolverine was my least favorite. Now I know why. This movie gave me a wider understanding of Wolverine's character. Kawawa nga naman ang tao mutant... maraming siyang issues tapos hindi niya pa alam kung anu-ano yung mga issues na yun. Ha.

you're a fleeting moment i'll never forget

Everyday we pass by strangers we meet eyes with, with minutes we’d take back to get one more look, and sparks that fly quickly with one swift touch — that all too soon disappear as the train door closes, as the bus pulls away, as we turn the street corner, leaving us waiting on the other side wondering what could’ve happened if we just simply said, “Hi.”

GG S02 E23: The Wrath of Con

What a great episode that was. Well, not as great as the previous great episodes but compared with the past lame episodes, this is so much better.

I was supposed to post just one thing about this episode but I just have to comment about Georgina Sparks. How oh how on earth could someone so evil turn into someone so nice and polite in just a span of months? That is possible if she's suffering from amnesia but she's not so... was the bible-thumper Georgina fake or not? Cos that got me a little confused. But since Georgina is back to her old, b*tchin' self, we can expect more action. I'm expecting a bonggang-bonggang season finale ha. Don't let me down.

And for this season's MAJOR PIVOTAL MOMENT...

C: You look like you could use a cocktail
B: You’re too late. Wow, that’s the first true laugh I gotten from you a while
C: Listen Blair
B: Wait me first, Nate’s waiting for me to give him an answer
C: I heard
B: Don’t you wanna know what’s stopping me? I can’t answer his question while i’m waiting for you to answer mine, the one I asked you forever ago. What are we Chuck?
C: Blair…
B: Last fall you said we couldnt be together and I believed you but everytime I want to move on you’re right there, acting like…
C: Acting like what?
B: Like… like… maybe you want to make me as miserable as you are
C: I want you to be happy
B: Then look down deep into the soul I know you have and tell me if what you feel for me is real, or if it’s just a game if it’s real, we’ll figure it out, all of us, and if not….then please Chuck just let me go….
C: It’s just a game…I hate to lose, you’re free to go.
B: Thank you

Blair leaves.
Serena comes.
S: Chuck, why did you just do that ?
C: Because I love her…and I can’t make her happy.
I think I just heard my heart shatter into a million little pieces.
Is it better to make things happen or let things happen?

to read or not to read

is not the question. Definitely, must read.

I've been way beyond my reading target. I said a book every two weeks but I think I'm nowhere near that. I stalled at reading Eve-olution (Faith Popcorn) and although I intend to finish reading it, I decided to read another book first. Since it's a book about business chuva, I had to highlight this, hightlight that, take notes, etc. and so I have to like sit down and concentrate on it like I do when reading school books. So I picked up Eat Pray Love (Elizabeth Gilbert) to read. It is interesting although not interesting enough to hold my attention for hours. But I must finish reading the book so I could move on to the other books on my list.

The books are piling up already...
double time

Christmas shopping

Christmas accompanied me yesterday in my "market research." We spent around an hour in the area observing and fishing information from the people who work there. I don't know if I should believe them. AD said I should go back and observe another period of the day, say around 6pm. So, I am going back this afternoon to observe... again. Sh*t, I should've done this too yesterday when I was already in the area~

Anyway, Christmas and I just strolled in Megamall for hours. Although we didn't realize that our feet were hurting like hell until we stopped walking. Hehe. I accompanied her buy her wardrobe for her friend's wedding on the 16th. Several hours and shops later, she finally decided on this purple dress from Promod. And bought a pair of beige sandals to go with it.

Then we called it a day... or night ;)

GG S02 E22: A Southern Gentleman Prefers Blondes

Gossip Girl used to occupy the topmost spot in my Most Favorite TV Series list but Chuck (Bartowski) dethroned her to second place. GG has become unexciting that I didn't watch it immediately after it has finished downloading. I don't know but their relationship rigodon has become absurd. I believe I'm only watching it because of Blair.

Last week's episode was boring, as what's usual as evidenced by the past weeks' episodes. And what's more absurd than their way too complicated relationships are their problems. Maybe there's some truth to Notorious BIG's Mo' Money Mo' Problems...

Really, I hate Dan and Vanessa. Yes, I used to like Dan before he became this airhead who thinks he's some kind of an intellectual chuva just because he dated Serena van der Woodsen. And I only like Vanessa when she's in an improbable love relationship. I don't know why Vanessa hates these girls from the Upper East Side since she's practically like them only with lesser money, which makes her worse than them. Ha.
And isn't 18 like the legal age for drinking? Oh wait, they are 18. Slipped my mind for awhile.

Eeeew, Serena's such a skeeze. Anoba????

I was never a Chuck Bass fan but why oh why have I suddenly have this soft spot for him in this episode? Kasi naman aminin na ang feelings...

Lagot kayo kay Nate. At kung may picture pa nito si Gossip Girl, bilib na talaga ako sa kanyang omnipotence.

Yay! Georgina Sparks is back y'all! I'm expecting something explosive and un-boring tomorrow.

I really like this girl's hair.

Second Coming

The girls are coming back to Manila! I WANNA WANNA WANNA watch x infinity!

Pero ang pangit ng venue. I'd rather they have it in Araneta Coliseum. Lechugas.
