Tooooooooo.... morrow

Tomorrow
I love you, tomorrow!!!!
For tomorrow I get to watch Twilight, y'all!

R-Patz and Taylor Lautner are guests on tonight's Tyra show and I'm so, so glad that I was able to catch it. I had a bazaar today from 10am to 6pm and I was a little bit worried that I wouldn't be able to watch The Tyra Show (which airs at 7pm). Good thing we packed up earlier and so I was able to watch it giddily with gleeeee....

I swear Tyra is cuh-razy!

What I found funny was he had Robert Pattinson bite her on the neck but would let Taylor Lautner bite only her leg. Ang leveling! Haha! I guess that's what you get when you push your luck.

Twilight overload, I know. But I guess that's it. The end of their Twilight promotional stints. I'll miss Edward R-Patz.

gag me

Being the master crammer that I am, I've once again subjected myself to last-minute anything. I knew I had this bazaar on Saturday and I had to make/concoct my products and I kinda had the entire week to do them, but I opted to do everything tomorrow this morning. And what did I do instead? I ogled at Rob Pattinson's pictures online, watched bazillions of his interviews and TV guestings and read articles written about him. tsk... tsk... Good luck to me.

And now that I've started on the topic of "Twilight," I'm so happy and excited that the wait has been reduced to 2 frickin' days! Oh joy!

I so love Robert Pattinson but I kind of got turned off when I see pictures like these:

Kristen Stewart, reportedly seen smoking something (alledgedly, illegal) thru a pipe. There was also this article I just read that said she doesn't act appropriately during interviews, etc. I kinda noticed that during interviews, it seems as if she's... suffering. With all that squirming and face-twitching...

and Pattinson, lighting a ciggie...
As much as possible, I prefer guys who don't smoke and finding out that he smokes just breaks my (fangirl) heart.
Whatever. I still think he's muy caliente.

Dear Edward Cullen and/or Robert Pattinson,

Can I keep you?

xoxo,
bbg

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Got tickets already. I'm watching on the 30th with my sisters.

I would really love to watch on the first day but my sister wants to watch it, too.
The same sister also thinks that the book is crap. And that Rob Pattinson looks like a druggie.
After the movie, I hope she'll keep her opinions to herself.
She said she won't dare bash the movie inside the theatre... or else she won't make
it out alive. The place will be packed with fangirls like moi... fo sho!

I Love Chuck

I never expected that I would love Chuck most especially since I bought the Season 1 DVD just to shut the pushy DVD vendor up. Buti na lang binili ko siya or else I still wouldn't have been able to watch this super funny series. I love Chuck! Actually, I now love Chuck more than Gossip Girl.

And I love this week's episode... as a continuation of last episode's Jill's return of the comeback, hehe. Jill was Chuck's college sweetheart who dated Bryce Larkin who ratted out that Chuck stole the answers to an exam which led to Chuck's explusion from Stanford. So Jill was the one who broke Chuck's heart, destroyed him, took all his confidence and his mojo. But apparently, Chuck still likes her and Jill made him forget that he kinda has feelings for Sarah, too. Sarah's feelings for Chuck are undeniable. It shows on her face...
that she is jealous of this...

It breaks my heart every time Sarah would look at Chuck and Jill with that pained expression on her face, probably wishing she was in Jill's place.

But in a should-have-expected-it-but-didn't twist of events, turns out that...

Jill is one of the bad guys. Sheesh, are there no ordinary citizens anymore? Suddenly everyone's kind of connected either to the CIA or a large-scale organized crime group.

But yeah, I'm excited for next week's episode. I hope they'll have a new episode next week in spite of the Thanksgiving holiday. I want to see more Jill vs. Sarah action. I want to see what would Sarah do to Jill especially with that look on her face (upon finding out that Jill's affiliated with Fulcrum).
Yer dead meat, Jill. Sarah's buckteeth have superpowers.

GG S02 E11: The Magnificent Archibalds

Thanksgiving episode's a week early, which makes me suspect that there might not be a new episode next week. Haay...

Ahhh... my favorite mountain-climbing critter to bash- Jenny Humphrey. She's pretty full of herself, even deciding to emancipate herself from Rufus. Feeling. Wala pa nga siyang career eh. I swear, gusto ko siyang balatan ng buhay at isawsaw sa suka!

But I am relieved that towards this episode's end, she came back home, got rid of those black rims around her eyes and tied her Joan Jett-ish hairstyle into a pony.

As in every episode, Serena still dresses like a skank. I liked Serena's style during the first season of Gossip Girl. This season, almost everything she's wearing is too revealing or too short. Remember when she went out with Aaron on a walk in her nighties and room slippers? She didn't even bother to put on a coat. Serena's such an exhibitionist.

It has been quite a while since I've cried on a GG episode. If I remember it right, that was during last season's A Thin Line Between Chuck and Nate. I felt so sorry for Blair and I started crying when she was walking along Central Park... alone. And tonight's episode made me cry, too. I suppose it would be hard to turn over someone you love to the authorities.
He just doesn't want his father to commit another felony by trying to make right a situation by doing another wrong.

Speaking of Nate, this guy is so much in a confused state of mind. Who does he like, really? Does he like Vanessa or Jenny? Or whoever's available?

Vanessa and Jenny finally reconcile over the Nate incident and Vanessa said that "their friendship is more important than some guy".

because I am obsessed

**spoiler alert**
Most of my recent posts were about Twilight. I know I may sound like a raving, obsessed Twilight fan... and I think I am and here is an additional Twilight post.

I'm currently reading Breaking the Dawn, the fourth book of the Twilight saga. I'm not yet done reading and I still don't know and have no clue as to what would happen in the end but as of the moment (I am in chapter 23), I didn't like the series of events that has happened. I kinda had an inkling as to what would happen to Bella since when I was snooping for information about the book, I went to wikipedia and found this:

Date of birth September 13, 1987
Date of death September 10, 2006 (as a human)

Despite the information above, I was still resisting the fact that Bella has become a vampire. I still had this illusion that Edward will become a human... in some magical, fairy-tale like twist of events like when Beast transformed into a handsome prince. Even now that I'm halfway through the book, I still have this theory that it's all just a dream sequence.

I missed the thrill of Bella and Edward's human-vampire relationship. It was different that way. I prefer it that way.

Anyway, I was able to read Midnight Sun, actually just the first chapter. I can't wait. I hope Stephanie Meyer will release it soon! I'm sure things are much cheesier from Edward's perspective. Ha.

70,000 people came to watch the concert. Around half of that figure watched it on a big screen nga lang, including me and my sisters. Bad trip. You paid money to watch the concert LIVE and not on a screen!

Another effy thing was the 30-minute break in between Chris Brown's and Rihanna's performance. The audience were left hanging for more than 30 minutes doing nothing, gasping for air. I've been to a number of concerts and usually towards the end, people would clamor for MORE. Last night's concert was the only concert I've been to that when the performers bade the audience goodbye, everyone started heading for the exit. They were so tired that they didn't even bother to ask for more.

Nevertheless, it was a good one. Chris Brown and Rihanna gave good performances. I loved Take a Bow.

PS. I was more excited for the eyebrow grooming which was supposedly going to take place on the same day. But we arrived late. So I would have to go back to have them done. Bummer.

Mga Adik.

Had a 5-hour conversation with Juno on the phone mainly about Edward Cullen.

There was an article about Twilight in today's issue of Inquirer. There were lots of violent reactions when Robert Pattinson was cast to play the role of Edward Cullen, since he doesn't really look extremely gorgeous (as Edward was described in the book). I, myself, had this same reaction the first time I saw the movie poster. Juno texted me Robert Pattinson's statement (which, btw, cost P4 dahil sa sobrang haba) explaining that the books were from Bella's point of view so even if he wasn't as handsome as some would think, to Bella he is that drop dead gorgeous. As with many schoolgirl crushes, the object of affection (or infatuation) is often perceived as flawless to the eyes of the crush-er. Yes Lola Juno, you have a point there.

I hope Stephanie Meyer would release Midnight Sun, the story from Edward's perspective.

random musings

* I loved this week's Chuck episode. SJ moments. SJ as in "selos jealous". Haha!

Chuck's ex-girlfriend, Jill, was in town for a biochem seminar chorva. Chuck's romantic feelings towards Sarah has been side-tracked as his feelings for Jill had resurfaced. I know Sarah has been in denial with regard to her feelings for Chuck and Chuck is totally oblivious that Sarah hearts him, too, and that was what made this episode great. Sarah's super-SJ with Jill but at the same time, she can't let it show.

Love hurts... Love scars... (singing in mala-Renz Verano husky voice)

* Guess I'm not the only 26-year-old who buys and reads Teen Vogue, eh? The average age of Teen Vogue's readers is 25.8. So I'm not totally retarded!

* I'm excited to have my eyebrows groomed tomorrow! There's a growing forest above my eyes. I don't know if my daily dizziness is due to my diet or due to the fact that my eyebrows are getting heavier. I fervently hope that Brow House is already open. I don't think I can wait another month.

* In Gossip Girl, Serena's mouth annoys me.

* And oh, I am worried about this client of mine who hasn't paid me yet for the wedding favors I made for a wedding held one month ago! Well, she claims she has deposited the check to my bank account some two weeks ago but the amount hasn't entered my account yet. I want to believe her but it has been a month since the wedding... I hope she'll pay me this Monday.

* I am tremendously envious of creative people. I've come across these nice blogs of super creative girls:
I would loooooooove to be like them. I wish I could be as creative as they are. According to my sister, creativity can be developed. So what should I do to develop my creativity? Hmmm...

Twilight Zone

I'm done with Eclipse. I never thought I would be able to finish reading three books in two weeks. That is a record! Well, technically, I didn't read it. Rather, I listened to it. But I must say that audiobooks are quite handy. I was able to do what I was supposed to do while listening to the book. After 3 books, I just got a little annoyed at how often the author used the word chuckled. And she also loves using the word infinitesimally. I think she could have consulted the Thesaurus for synonyms instead of using the same words over and over.

Now that we're in the topic of Twilight, I'm disappointed that the movie's gonna come out on November 26 and not on Nov 21. Just when I thought that there were only 6 days of wait... I would have to add 5 more frickin' days. The agony... But I think I would also have to remind myself not to get excited and expect too much or I might be in for a big disappointment. I super duper mega over hope that the movie's REALLY GOOD.

I initially thought Rob Pattinson's not as goodlooking as how Edward Cullen was described in the book. But after a gazillion minutes of fangirling and watching lots of interviews of the cast, behind-the-scenes vids and trailers, I find myself slightly crushing on him. I like scruffy. I like facial hair. I like how his hair is so unruly. Bwahaha! Basta tama ang angle, cute naman siya eh. And I think the accent did it for me. After hearing him talk in that lovely English accent, I was smitten as a kitten.

Diba, cute naman siya?!!!

I read in one of those gossip blogs that there was this one time when a 7-year-old kid asked Pattinson if he could bite her. A 7-year-old reading Twilight??? Isn't she supposed to be reading stuff like Cinderella or Sleeping Beauty? Gah! If I were a parent, I wouldn't let my 7-year-old daughter read Twilight. A book about vampires filled with kissy-kissy moments? Totally a no-no for a child.

I've just unearthed another picture...

Ooooh, I can just squeeeeeee with gleeeeee :)

* Who knew that vampires could be so conservative?

scruffy duffy

Finally, the highly-dreaded day has passed. I got all panicky last Friday that my insides were churning and my eyelids were twitching. I don't know and I have no idea how I fared on the exam. I hope I did okay. Kahit pasang-awa lang.

Since I'm done with the exam, I was able to finish New Moon sans guilt. The more I read about Edward Cullen, the more I fall in love with him. However, the more I read about Bella, the more I seem to dislike her, chapter after chapter. Not that I hate Bella. She is just too desperate to become a vampire. If their present arrangement works, I don't know why she's too atat. And we all know that the dangers that their relationship holds fuels their attraction to each other even more. Very Romeo and Juliet nga.

I said in my last post that Robert Pattinson probably wasn't the best choice to play Edward Cullen. I mean, it's Hollywood... they could have done sooo much better. But there's this photo of him I found that made me decide to give him the benefit of the doubt... scruffy Edward, I like...

I kinda like him here. I can't wait! I hope it'll be the 21st of November soon! Yes, he is not uber-goodlooking, but when I saw some of the movie's snippets on youtube, there were some angles wherein he looked good. Hmmm... Baka nga naman magaling siya umarte. We'll see.

ano ba?

STOP ME!
PLEASE...

I can't seem to stop listening to the Twilight saga audiobook.
And I really need to study. Like, right now.

So, Jacob is a werewolf.
Edward hasn't re-appeared yet. Grrr...

quasi-fixations

Just got home from the 3rd get-together with cousins in 4 days. This time, we had dinner at Pasto in Eastwood. Conversations were mostly about family dramas (more like comedies, actually) and who got the dominant traits of the C****a. AB and I still maintain that we don't possess such traits, while they can't deny that they do.

***
Still, sabaw pa rin ang utak ko sa pag-aaral ng espanol. I don't know where to start. I just answered model tests but I think doing so didn't do or added anything to my already poor Spanish. Well, our booklet doesn't include the answer keys so there's no way we could check whether or not we have the correct answers. Hula-hula pa rin. Plus, I can't really focus on studying. I can't study here at home since there are a gazillion distractions. I tried studying at my workplace (aka plaza) but there were distractions as well, paputol-putol pa din. I haven't done this for so long, study I mean, that's why I'm finding it hard to concentrate and put my brain into work.

***
Another distraction is that Twilight saga chorva. I just have to listen to it even just a tiny bit of the story. I'm in Book 2 (New Moon) already and I can't wait to find out whatever will happen to Bella and Edward. Edward and his family has moved to another place, leaving Bella (pathetically) heartbroken and depressed. But this Jacob Black character... I saw on youtube that he's a werewolf daw. I'm not sure if that's true since I haven't reached any part of the book that says so. Kaya nga atat na ako makinig pero nagi-guilty ako 'pag makikinig ako at hindi nag-aaral.

I still refuse to accept that I am addicted to Twilight. Hindi pa naman talaga eh. Not the way I was addicted to Gossip Girl. Or to any erstwhile objects of my obsession. I'm just excited for the movie to come out. I just hope it wouldn't disappoint. But as early as now, Ycel said the trailer didn't leave her wanting to watch the movie. And 2 other persons have concurred with my opinion that the Edward Cullen isn't as goodlooking as he's supposed to be.

i need Divine Intervention

I'm doing some major cramming for my spanish proficiency exam on Saturday. Mierda talaga! I forgot how it feels to cram like this. Well, I did some cramming din pala last March for the civil service exams. But I think this time is different. For the civil service, I could rely on some stock knowledge. But with this DELE-like exams (nivel superior, no mas), I would have to really really study and know what verb tense to use. I can't do nivel superior. My spanish level is like... basic. Ayayay!

patience is a virtue

My mandatory first-day-of-the-month post made not on the first day of the month.

I'm quite excited for a few forthcoming events: Brow House's supposed opening on the 15th, Rihanna and Chris Brown's concert on the 16th, Twilight on cinemas and Christmas.

My brows are getting heavier by the day. Yesterday when I curled my lashes, the tips of my lashes met my brows. I seriously need to get my brows groomed and I'm so happy happy joy joy that my wait has been reduced to 12 days. Okay, 13 days since I plan on having them plucked clean on the 16th, the same date as the double concert, para tipid sa gas ;)

I noticed, by the gazillion Halloween party pics uploaded on facebook, that Halloween parties are the shizz in the states. Very different from the practice here in the country. Well, there are some Halloween parties but they aren't that big as compared to the states. On those dates, people go to the cemetery to visit the dead. Good for us, our dead relatives were buried in the province and we wouldn't have to squeeze ourselves in the cemetery with million others. Instead, my sisters and I went out with cousin Ging who was visiting from the states. Actually, she wanted to go to a Halloween party. But as the boring cousins we are, we took her to Omakase for dinner instead. Hehe.

Watched House Bunny with mommy and sisters last Saturday. The movie was funny. I liked it. I loved the part where Shelley (Anna Faris) tried to copy the Marilyn Monroe pose.

Speaking of movies, I'm so looking forward to the Twilight movie coming out this November. At first, I was wondering what's the fuss about this new book series. Usually, I resist anything that's liked by a lot. I resisted High School Musical. I resisted The O.C. I even resisted the skinny jeans craze. Obviously, resistance was futile since I loved High School Musical, The O.C. and (not-so) skinny jeans. And now I jumped on the Twilight bandwagon. Too stingy to buy books, I downloaded an audiobook instead. Now, I am hooked on the series and I still do want to own copies of the four books that comprise the series. Audiobooks are fine, only I end up asleep after 15 minutes. I'm so excited for the movie. I can't wait to see Edward Cullen's eyes turn from black to gold and vice versa. Oo nga pala, I was a little disappointed when I saw the actor who was playing Edward. He's not that goodlooking. I just expected someone super duper mega over good looking (as he was described as such in the book).
What I love about Twilight is it's oozing with cheesiness. I love cheesy. It makes me giddy.
