10 Random things about me

1. I'm obsessed with my eyebrows.

2. I love tweezing- facial hair, body hair, basta hair. I like the pain.

3. I think I have ADHD :P

4. When I was a kid, I loved sweeping. I swept our house front. I swept our neighbors' (take note, nasa plural ang possessive) house fronts! I was too masipag back then... which explains the katamaran right now.

5. I used to have a crush on our neighbor who looked like Mark Anthony Fernandez. Every afternoon, before I went out to play, I made sure that my outfits were color-coordinated.

6. When we were younger, my sister and I would ask our mommy if we're related to Antipolo and K(G)uyabano. Gets?

7. I was born a pre-mature baby at 8 months. The doctor, after many years, asked if I had survived and was actually surprised that I did.

8. I have never seen any Brad Pitt movie.

9. I used to idolize Geneva Cruz during her Smokey Mountain and pop-swatch days. I even tried to imitate her hairstyle kahit na super ikli ng buhok ko kaya hairpin to death. And I used to know the lyrics to Anak ng Pasig and I Like You by heart, with matching dance steps pa!

10. I like pepper. I put pepper on everything.

Hana Kimi Marathon

Since I'm sick for the past 2 days and am staying at home sans guilt, I went on with my Hana Kimi marathon. I started watching on the net but since it always took a gazillion years to load a single episode, I decided to buy the dvd. And so I am now enjoying Hana Kimi without the lengthy wait.

Hana Kimi has three versions: Korean, Taiwanese and Japanese. I've seen the Korean version, Coffee Prince and loved it although there were scenes that made me cringe. The Japanese and Taiwanese versions were shown at the same time in different channels but I only got to see the Taiwanese one and loved it with its oh-so-many kilig scenes. Well, according to Juno (the source, hehe) if I'm going for kilig, I should watch the Taiwanese version but if I'm going for the laughs, then the Japanese version it is. But I like kilig ergo the Taiwanese version.

Aside from the kilig, I also love the two main guy characters: Quan (Wu Chun) and Xiu Yi (Jiro Wang). As in super super cute boys! Hahaha! Umandar na naman ang pagka-matrona.

Cookie Won!

So tama ba namang sabihin sa akin kung sino'ng nanalo sa American Idol? I waited til 6pm to watch it on QTV... but she really had to ruin the surprise for me... Gah!

As early as 10am, I was so tempted to check out who won over the net. But since I always pass the "marshmallow test," I waited til now... but then my sister told me, just a few minutes after the show started, na nanalo yung hindi mukhang bading... translation: David Cook won. So, aside from being annoyed at the fact that my sister told me who won even before I got to watch it on tv, I'm super duper happy that David Cook won! Archuleta's got talent, alright, but I just can't stand him. Oh I'm so happy happy joy joy that Cook won! Yipee! And I really really hope that he'd make it big, bigger than Carrie Underwood! Bwahaha!

GG Season Finale: Much "I Do" About Nothing

What a great season ender that was! The ultimate rigodon. It left me really wanting more. Suddenly 3 months seem so far away.

Although it was a great season ender, it wasn't as scandalous as episode 13 (Thin Line between Nate & Chuck). My prediction about Dan and Serena's relationship was wrong, but somehow I kind of saw this coming. Unlike with ep13, I didn't expect any of that would happen. But of course, this episode defintely made me want to wish that September comes right after the month of May.

What I loved about this episode:

• Blair & Chuck. The scene where Blair woke up and found herself sleeping beside Chuck and as soon as she realizes such, she hits him and questions what, when and why? This definitely goes into my favorite GG moments. Also loved the scene where Chuck was delivering his best man speech about love and eklavu... the whole time he was looking at Blair. So maybe Chuck Bass really has a heart (... or not).

• Lily & Rufus. Yes, they made me have those kilig moments. Isa lang masasabi ko, ang haba ng hair ni Lily, ha.

• Bart Bass. I loved it how he didn't throw any fit since he knew about Lily's infidelity which happened just the day before their wedding lang naman. I loved it how he was subtle about it and used analogy to get his point across.

Lily: I think you should let it go.
Bart: I agree. Now, can you do the same for me?

• Blair (to Vanessa): I just feel sorry for you, that's all. Dating an Archibald is a tortured process, the endless supply of family drama, the fact that he never really got over Serena though falling for someone whose in love with Serena, you already know how that feels, don't you? --->Winner, hands down.

• The nicknames:Vanessa as Punky Brewster and Nate as Man-bangs

• Perfect song for Dan & Serena's status... sad :(( Although the song's lyrics are tragically beautiful, I don't really like it that much. I just loved how the song aptly tells about how the ice is getting thinner under Dan and Serena.
  

And those that I don't really like about this episode:

• Chuck just had to live up to his reputation, no? And just when you thought that he has actually fallen in love with Blair, he changes his mind over someone who looked like who'll topple over since her head's too big for her body. And all of that because Bart Bass tells him that having a real girlfriend entails responsibility. Apparently, Charles Bass doesn't want to change his spots after all.

• The fact that Nate just doesn't get it. I think he is being absolutely selfish. First, he kinda wants his father in jail. And second, I don't get it why he suddenly just decides that his time across the bridge is over??? I so loved the Nate-Vanessa pairing and why oh why did they suddenly decide to break this pairing off... and with no good explanation at that.

• Just because it's a garden wedding, it doesn't mean that you actually have to look like one. Almost every girl was wearing a frickin' floral dress! Overkill!

• Dan & Serena's "love" couldn't withstand a simple obstacle. Dan, being the most understading person in the world, didn't understand why Serena hid everything from him. He shouldn't feel too bad about it because Serena didn't even tell her own mom. For DanHumphrey, killing someone is more understandable than lying. Yes, Dan, you're the most understanding person in the world indeed.

Oh I am just so so so excited as to what will happen next season. Por favor, I don't want a Nate-Serena pairing nor a Dan-Vanessa one. I just hope that there won't be too much partner-swapping or else it would get too Melrose Place-ish. I hope three months won't take too long...

More ditzy stuff for me

New guilty pleasure for me: The Hills.
I was reading this blog and she was promoting The Hills. I have heard of LC and Heidi but I haven't really seen any episode. The blog author said that LC's outfits are very nice so I just have to see it for myself. After watching one episode online, I am hooked. This is bad. I shouldn't have started with it in the first place.

Just one episode and I am already envious of LC because she got to intern at Teen Vogue. Teen Vogue! I love Teen Vogue! I would love to take Eva Chen's job as Beauty Editor. Kahit assistant beauty editor, okay na. I love trying out new facial wash, shampoos, etc. But honestly, I don't think Teen Vogue would have gotten LC if not for the show. Her interview was like, not how you should be in an interview. Like, if I were interviewing her... it would be like total turn-off. I wanna intern at Teen Vogue too, you know...

During the past week, I...

• received my very first book I mooched from Oline of Sweden. I joined this website, Book Mooch, where one can exchange books with other members for free. I joined a month ago and just received my first book, A Tale of Two Sisters by Anna Maxted, last Friday.
• have finally decided that I wanted to go vintage, style-wise. Honestly, I don't really think it's vintage but yeah, it's somehow vintage-y. I've been looking into a lot of fashion blogs and I really really want to dress up like they do. Tights are highly used but seeing that we are indeed living in a tropical country, I think I should steer clear of tights and substitute with leggings. And I need to load up on skinny jeans (apparently, skinny jeans can be worn by un-skinny persons, too), dresses and flats. Love love love...

• have been updating my Vision Notebook and I am so enjoying it. I like how my vision notebook looks. I just hope I can attain everything I have posted in there. Supposedly, a vision notebook would remind me of what I want to achieve in life and help me attain my goals.
  
• have been updating my journal. There are a only few pages left to write on and I want to fill them up with entries so I could start on a new journal. Apparently, I'm addicted to notebooks. I think I must have around 10 notebooks... I actually feel guilty about this, especially now that we have to not waste paper so as to save trees. But, yeah, I love notebooks. I also love what I did with my last few journal entries... they're more colorful. I hope that's an indication of what's in store for me.
  

Done with updating and on with what's to come.

• Thailand, here I come! Yahoo! I totally forgot about this one which is, to date, the most blog-worthy subject. I've been waiting for this moment when I could actually set foot on tom yum land. We're going on September, a few days after my birthday. I'm so so so excited!
  
• My cousins will be visiting from Canada. I'm a little bit excited but at the same time a little anxious. Basta, we just have to entertain them the best we could and should they find anything wrong with that, so be it. But I'm still hoping for the best. I'm just preparing myself for the worst.
  
• Tomorrow is GG's season finale! Sad, but true. After tomorrow, I would have to live on re-runs of the first season for a few months and come September, GG returns!
  
• I will return to IC for nivel 19 on June and I promised myself that I would really finish reading Paolo Coelho's El Zahir before I start with the new level. I need to accomplish this one. The book's been sitting on my shelf for almost 3 years now...
  
• I am waiting for my hair to grow out its ugly phase. After the haircut from Tony and Jackey, my hair is still nowhere near manageable. It seems that hair grows at a slower pace when you really want otherwise. BT. I so hate my hair these days.
• Two VVIP in my life are celebrating their birthdays! My daddy's birthday is on the 22nd. So sad that he won't be able to spend it with us since he's in the province. He's been here for mommy's birthday and then back there after a week. Armida's birthday is on the 23rd but no plans yet.
