Almost Christmas Update

 Christmas is still 69 days away but on my clock it's already almost Christmas. Hindi ko lang siya masyado ramdam this year because- covid, and there aren't much orders coming in this year. Not sure if wala talagang order or late lang papasok. I just hope late lang sila papasok. Dali, ngaragin niyo na ako please! Haha. 

I ordered pa naman a lot of bottles- asyumera kasi. I just hope sales pick up soon kahit sa Shopee lang. However, there's a spattering of orders of souvenirs for baptisms and weddings so that's a good thing. My only fear is that once the cases start going up, the government will again impose lockdowns which could halt operations again. Sana lang mas careful yung mga tao. Looking at photos online, parang wala nang covid eh. Crowds gathered at the dolomite beach, at the Marikina River Park, at a coffee shop in in Taguig- ¡Que barbaridad! Paano tayo matatapos nito? People, not because you can doesn't mean you should.  

Anyway... just distracting myself from reality with BTS, kdramas and webtoons. BTS muna tayo. 

It was Jimin's birthday last October 13. His 26th in international age, 27th in Korean age. Gosh, I can still recall my late 20s which was pretty angst-ridden mostly and wala pa akong pera noon. I just make do with the little allowance I get from the nail spa (no matter how I seem to hate that nail spa, I'm still grateful for it cos it led me to what I'm doing right now). So anyway, back to Jimin... wala naman kaming prepared celebration. We just ordered last mintute from our suki online meriend shop- beef spaghetti, Japanese siomai and coke. I wish things will be much better (aka may pera ako) this Nov and December para I can prepare for Jin's and Taehyung's birthdays on the 4th and 30th, respectively. I still regret not celebrating my unico hijo's 24th but I mean to make bawi (Comcalc, LOL) on his 25th. I hope by then tapos na ang pandemya. 

So again- BTS stuff... yesterday I watched In the Soop S2's first episode and I am in awe of these boys. Super. How they stay down to earth despite their worldwide popularity is beyond me. Of course I'm not 100% sure if they are really like that behind the camera, but it seems that they are.

How can you not fall for or like those boys? Hay. Nakakatuwa sila, I swear- a ray of sunshine during this pandemic. 

So far I like this season better cos Taehyung's happier here. Parang medyo sulky siya last season. I'm just happy he's overcome his sadness and is back to his old, kulit self (but of course I really don't know for sure if that is the real Taehyung).

That boy, I swear- Mom's very proud of you (he's my son in an alternate universe, okay?) Chareng. Seeing Jungkook waking up early to feed Bam, cleaning up after Bam and patiently potty-training him- endears him to me more. Okay Jungkook, Mom's okay na with your tats and piercings. LOL. Hibang ang loka. 

Seeing the boys do the chores, seeing how they look like when they wake up in the morning (correction: tanghali na sila magising, literally), seeing them take care of each other- makes me happy. I really hope they are like that in real life, that they're like that to each other off-camera too. 

Another distraction I have are webtoons! It started with True Beauty which I actually stopped reading cos it has become annoying, will give it a try again soon- I can't believe I haven't read it in four months already. Age Matters has recently concluded and while I enjoyed most of it, medyo naging so-so na lang siya towards the end. Hindi na siguro alam ni author anong gagawin sa story, ergo the decision to end the series already. My favorites these days are Secret Playlist, Romance 101, Odd Girl Out and Yumi's Cells. Those are the series I'm currently heavily invested in, but there are also tons I'm enjoying. 

As for the kdramas, will make another post as soon as I'm done watching Hometown Cha Cha Cha.

 Panahon nga naman, napakabilis. 

Almost the end of May, y'all! Unting kembot na lang, half of the year's gone by. I'm so excited to get vaccinated already. My parents are done with their first dose and are already due for their 2nd, but no advise from the LGU yet. Sana naman anytime soon we get a text for their schedule. 

This was post was actually due at the end of March, bilang end of the quarter review. Naks. For personal use naman as I assume no one else is reading this except me Lels. I guess I'll be doing a mid-year review instead at the end of June 2021. Right now, let me rave about my favorite boys ;) 

Last May 4 was my first Army-versary! YAY 💜 These boys, OMG, they're so nakakatuwa. Hahaha! Etong pandemic na 'to talaga, dumami ang bisyo ko. Tahimik buhay ko dati eh. Pero okay lang, happy naman ako. Haha. Willing akong inuuto ng mga boys at ni Bang Si-hyuk. 

Hindi naman ako masyado nagpapabudol sa boys. My first and only official merch was tsinelas na hindi naman ako ang bumili hehe. At napa-purchase pala ako ng Butter sa Apple Music. Tumatangingting na 25 pesos din yun. Hahaha! Sorry, I'm really matipid (a.k.a. kuripot) and I find it hard to part with my hard-earned money especially during these trying times wherein business is not doing too good. Napatungga din pala ako ng milk tea sa Chatime just so I can get hold of the BT21 tumbler and I don't really like milk tea. I know these are nothing compared to what other BTS fans are doing, as in wala pa sa kalingkingan. I just want to enjoy being their fans- enjoy listening to their songs, watching their performances, watching videos of the boys. I don't want to get into the hardcore stuff. I try to stream when I can but I don't pressure myself. 

So the boys just released a new song last Friday and I LOVE IT ♥ Super. I love the vibe, reminds me a bit of The 1975 songs from six to seven years ago. 

I like this better than Dynamite. My all-time fave is still Mic Drop, but this one is a close second. Followed by Spring Day. 

I swear I'm so proud of these boys, most especially Jungkook who I feel is my son in another lifetime. Char. Haha. Bawal kumontra, okay? 

So anyway, I'm just happy I discovered BTS 💜 One of my bucket list items is to watch them live in concert, in person, see them in the flesh- and not online lang. Which reminds me I need to benta pala so I can watch their 8th anniversary online concert. We watched last year (legally, btw, LOLs) and I plan to do the same this year. Paghahandaan ko talaga 'to! Ano kaya menu on that day? Okay bye na, I need to plan my ganap on June 14. Borahae, beeches! 

Almost Laya

Two days more and I'm done with my quarantine. And I haven't finished any of the things I said I want to accomplish while on quarantine. I still have a chance to finish reading one book. Let's see what this master procrastinator can do with the remaining two days. Ha. 

Bilang I'm already very much in this BTS rabbit hole, here are just random stuff:

• I am in love with Jungkook's backing vocals. Every time I hear him do second voice (harmonize) with another member, I fall so deeply in love with that beautiful voice of his. 
• Jimin's eyes sans makeup are beautiful. 
• How I wish the boys have their own Instagram accounts, especially those who like taking pictures. I would love to see things from their perspective. 
• All the members bring something to the table. They are ALL talented. Those who say otherwise are just sore losers who can't accept the success of others. Some say they're just lucky, but let us not forget what Mareng Oprah says about luck- “I believe luck is preparation meeting opportunity. If you hadn't been prepared when the opportunity came along, you wouldn't have been lucky.” 
• I am also in love with Taehyung's vocals. Especially in Sweet Night. Beautiful. 
• Blue & Grey is such a sad song, supposedly written by V (Taehyung). I hope this doesn't reflect his emotional well-being. If it does, I volunteer to be the angel he's looking for at the end of the day. LOL. Lech. 
• I am surprised that Suga doesn't have any tattoos. Yet. To our knowledge, at least. Just watched Bon Voyage S2 and him and Taehyung were talking about tattoos. That V wanted to get one and the same time, no. Then Kuya Suga said that tattoos are not a good idea and that he should settle for a henna one instead. Nagulat lang ako kasi mas siya yung parang rough and tough and most likely to get a tattoo. 
• I'm sad that I didn't discover them earlier, but as they say- you find BTS when you needed them the most. I am a new fan, officially (at least that was when I said it out loud, more like announced it on Twitter actually) last May 4, 2020. At that time, it was just the early days of this yearlong (and still ongoing) lockdown and we stopped all operations. Things were so uncertain, as it is now. That's when it all started. They were sort of an escape for me. They still are a means of escape from me until now. This group sort of softens the blows life is throwing at us. Ganun naman diba? You just have to find your bliss.

• I love them all! ♥ I do have my ultimate bias (Jungkook!) and my bias wrecker (Taehyung), but I love all the boys. Super. 

Now that I've gotten that off my chest, on to other topics.

My newest fave webtoon is My Secret Playlist. What is it with me and pining in secret? Haha. I just like the story. I may not be liking the wait, but gives me something to look forward to every week. Also enjoying Yumi's Cells- why didn't I discover this when there was no limit of two chapters per day yet. I'm sad that most of my faves are on hiatus. I just finished Nice To Meet You and I can't wait for the next season. Also waiting for the new season of I Love Yoo, Let's Play and The Second Lead Syndrome. Ang dami ko talagang bisyo na na-acquire during this pandemic. 

I also started watching Grey's Anatomy. Just finished season 1. Mas gusto ko pa rin si Emily Owens, MD. I don't know if I can keep watching until the latest season available on Netflix- 15 seasons in total! Ni hindi ko nga matapos ang Dawson's Creek- too much drama! And I don't need to think about other people's (fictional pa, at that) dramas. 

And oh, the box has arrived. May box-opening ceremony sana kami ni AC kaso siya naman ngayon ang naka-quarantine. An officemate she shared a room with last Monday tested positive. So nakakainis diba? I don't get it why these government offices insist their employees to go to work physically when they very well work from home. People are turning in their work from home. On time. Puede pakitigil-tigilan yang kaepalan na 'yan? We just hope that Ate is okay. Hope she didn't catch anything in the office. Will pray for this, too, among other things. Ultimately, praying for the world's healing from COVID19, from bad and corrupt leaders. 

In two days time I can move freely to the other parts of the house- YAY! Sana lang Ate will test negative. Ayun lang naman. We can get through this. Tiwala lang. 

Anong Petsa Na? Quarantine Edition

So... anong petsa na? OMG I can't frakkin' bilibit- it's already the first day of the 8th month and we're still inside our houses. Still, I am grateful that I have a house where I can stay safely cooped in and I don't have to go to an office (being a home-based business). But my sister still has to go to work once a week and there's still that risk. I just distract my self with stuff... tutal jan ako magaling.

What have I been distracting myself with? 

KDRAMAS PA RIN 

Last time I blogged I was watching the ff- My Holo Love, Meow the Secret Boy, Oh My Baby and Dr. Romantic 1. I'm done with Dr. Romantic, struggling with Oh My Baby and dropped Holo and Meow. Here's my accomplishment report (Ha!):

Teacher Kim reminded me of Dr. House. Okay lang din naman yung love angle which is the main reason why I watch these dramas- to experience kilig vicarously. Lelz. If there was no second season with Lee Sung-kyung as the female lead (FL), I wouldn't have finished this series. 

100 Days My Prince

My first saguek drama, I think. I did attempt to watch a few saguek dramas before but I got easily bored so I therefore concluded that sageuks are boring. 100 Days My Prince started out boring but thanks to the leads' impeccable chemistry. 

I'm not sure if this was a romcom cos although there were scenes that were like that, the main feel of the drama was sad. I guess most sageuk dramas are tragic since these royalties live in fear of losing their seat, their power, their wealth at kung ano pa man yang puede mawala sa kanila. And almost always, they can't be with that someone they truly love. Medyo alam ko na kung bakit may kabit, haha! 

I enjoyed this drama. Although the main feel was sad, it ended on a happy note ☺ And oh em gee, that scene where Won Deuk lay on Hong-shim's lap >>squeeeee<<

Main reason why I watched- V. Because my bebe boy is there, that's it. It was 20 episodes long which was torture for my ADHD brain. Not naman torture because the drama was exciting naman, although I feel they could have done this with fewer episodes. Ang daming flashbacks. 

What a turn of events... but that's what I love about Seon-u, he didn't take advantage of the situation and he didn't let those people take advantage of him as well. At si Ate Girl A-ro kung bahagyang kinulang sa baba, eh yun naman ang ihinaba ng hair niya! That scene when the King would told her he'd willingly give up the throne if ever she chooses him over the other guy? MY GULAY. 

And oh, I cried > S P O I L E R A L E R T < when Han sung died. 

Sweet Revenge

Just watched this after AC recommended it. Light lang and funny and every episode is only around 30 minutes long. Female lead is the same as in A Moment in Eighteen- though I don't find her pretty, I like her. I still don't get how she brings all the cute boys in the yard though. Lelz. This series is definitely my cup of tea- kilig kilig high school keme lang.

Another reason why I like this drama- Cha Eun woo. CHA EUN WOO ♥ Ang guapo nung bata! Haha #ahjummamode Maybe I'll give My ID is Gangnam Beauty another try (because, Cha Eun-woo). 

Other Kdramas I'm currently watching are Was It Love? and It's Okay Not to be Okay. Eye candies galore and eye candies around my age ;) ;) 

WEBTOONS

I got into webtoons when a highschool batchmate of mine posted something about a webtoon she follows. I have never been into animes, mangas, manhwas or anything like it (only Archie, Snoopy an Garfield comics), but True Beauty opened the gates for me. After I have devoured all the available chapters, I started scouring the worldwide web for other titles. Entonces, I am currently reading the following: One of a Kind Romance, Age Matters, Cheese in the Trap and Odd Girl Out.

The con about webtoons is you get updates once a week (or every four days, if you're lucky) and the suspense is killing me. You really need to follow a few titles to get your mind off the other ones you're waiting for new chapters for. And now that we're in quarantine and don't have much to do, it's easy to obsess over these stuff because I have all the time in the world!

BTS

Still, my biggest distraction during these trying times- my boys ♥ Gaaahd, I'm always on YouTube bingeing on their music videos, fan-made videos and listening to their covers. I'm on weverse waiting for their updates. Ang lala! 

And oh, my baby boy Jungkook just released a cover of the Bieb's 10000 Hours- 

I'm one proud momma! I didn't even recognize it was him cos his English has improved tremendously. More practice pa sa dreaming, 'nak. Haha. Malala na 'to. Ganito yun kasi, 'pag nagka-anak ako gusto ko parang si Jungkook at dahil mukhang ang probability nun ay near to zilch, siya na lang anak ko HAHAHA.

I really wanted a pair of Chimmy slippers but only Cooky and Tata were available. Eh kay AC na si Tata (dahil siya naman ang original V fan and dahil siya rin ang nagbayad), Cooky's mine. I didn't want these Cooky slippers cos my feet are fangit LOL :P Lalo tuloy siyang umitim kasi fenk ang color. Anyway... they're so cute, no? 

Watching a BTS live concert is definitely in my bucket list so I need to take extra precaution para hindi ako mashotayva ng corona.

Finally Found Someone(s)

Lelz.

I've been looking for a crush for quite some time now and congratulations to me, I already found not just one, but seven. SEVEN!

Anyway, my almost-40 year-old-ass is a little embarrassed to say that I'm fangirling on BTS right now. I know I'm a little late to the party but late is still better than never, y'all! And I'm glad I am on the bandwagon. Ngayon na lang ako ulit kinikilig hahahaha! Leche.

So this is what happened... my ate and I are both bingeing on Kdramas, separately. She just watched Hwarang, a history/period drama; whereas I would not and have not watched any period dramas cos it's just not my cup of tea. Ayun after watching Hwarang she started watching BTS videos on YouTube. Endlessly. On loop. She asked me if I know any BTS songs- Boy With Luv and Fake Love lang kasi they play those songs on The Morning Rush and sometimes those videos play in between Blackpink playlists on YouTube. That's it. I wasn't paying much attention to them. Pre-BTS obsession, they all looked the same to me. The last boyband I 'shipped was Shinhwa and that was 15 years ago. Reason why my Ate got into BTS pala was because one of the casts of Hwarang (V!) was a member of the group, so that's how she discovered them. And in turn, I discovered BTS through her (with continuous BTS songs on loop the entire day). Ang laki pala ng nagagawa ng pagbra-brainwash. Haha!

So.. shet, no turning back na ito. And my BTS heart is excited for June 14! AC and I will be watching BTS Bang Bang Con: The Live on Sunday! HUZZAH!!! Potek kinikilig ako hahaha! Exciiiiited ♥

Aren't they cute? Sobra, no? Every member has his own charm. Walang tapon. I may have my biases, but all seven members are equally important to the group.

Haay. Grateful for this- just one of the few things that is helping me get through this pandemic.
