I. Sabaw.

Huhu I haven't read a single book since Lucky in Love and that was two months ago!! Shameful! Things have gotten very busy plus I got busy with work, too, and it's hard to work and read at the same time; it's easier to work and watch my Korean series or Forensic Files on Netflix. LOL.

source
Speaking of Netflix, I just finished watching The Kissing Booth and I liked it ♥ Me lurves teenybopper, no-brainer, clandestine love stories. Reminded me of The DUFF which I enjoyed so, so
much. I want more of these!!! Please, Netflix!!!

Another Netflix find was The Boss. It was funny but not as funny as this joke

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! #sorrynotsorry

My sister said it's corny. Wapakels. Funny siya para sa akin.

So yun lang. Just want to document how I distract myself from the pathetic emptiness of my meaningless, consumer-driven life. Charots.

GV GV Lang

Hola! It's me, trying to update this blog as often as I can ☺ Done with the first week of July and I have to say it was pretty eventful and I was productive. I'm so proud of myself, nyahaha!

Last Saturday was our cousin's church wedding and we all had to don red outfits. Well, buti na lang Mommy bought me a red dress to wear (because I refuse to shell out moolah to buy something I wouldn't wear often- I'd rather buy that blouse in Uniqlo I've been eyeing and waiting to go on sale!), or else I would've worn the fuchsia dress we have. Everyone was game so everyone wore red (except the male members of the entourage who wore barongs) and I would've stood out like a sore thumb. Pero may naka-black pala. I guess she was not informed. Hehe.

Crystal shopping last Sunday with AC.

Bought a Himalayan salt lamp for the nail spa
+ an Amazonite bracelet
Now I have lotsa crystals ❤️ I have rose quartz I bought from a stall in Galle (doubting its effectiveness, actually), tiger eye, fire agate and jade bracelets, Amazonite and Aventurine stones- all from AC. Bought myself an Amazonite bracelet. Pikit-mata kong inabot ang bayad ko. Haha. And guess what? I just got myself an Ultimate Protection Bracelet and Citrine bracelets. Gaaahd this is so addicting. Last na 'to for the year, okay?

Also got to try three new restaurants just this month ☺

Reunion dinner with A and with M who's back from London. We ate at Wholesome Table in Estancia Mall. Yummy food. Gaaahd, that cheese! Although I have to say it wasn't really filling. I had to eat pa pansit when I got home.

The second new eats haven I've tried was The Brgr Project with AC after we went crystal shopping. These were what we ordered:

No photo of the buffalo wings. Yummeh food ☺ AC found it expensive- our bill was almost 700. But we ordered a lot so I guess sakto lang. Plus, I remember paying almost the same amount in Sweet Ecstasy for fewer items. Also, I got a little overwhelmed when ordering our burger. Andaming choices at palabok. We settled for the classic cheeseburger.

Eats haven #3 was also located along Maginhawa street- Caution Hot! AC and I noticed the long line outside the shop when we went crystal shopping a few days before. It was AD who suggested we eat lunch (at 3pm!!!) there. And... ahlavet! Eh wala naman ata akong hindi nagustuhan haha

AC and I split a bowl of beef asam laksa. We also had pork dumplings and Oolong Milk Tea. It was bliss, I tell you ☺ I actually preferred AD's order of pork classic broth but the laksa was scrumptious as well. I'll definitely be back.

Had an Alabang trip with V last Friday to deliver a rush order. It was fun at first, but then I had this debilitating headache. I was asleep almost the entire time on our way home. Nagising na lang ako malapit na sa bahay, we were along Floodway actually when V said in a surprised manner, 'Ay nahulog!' We saw a man who got up from the pavement with blood running down the sides of his mouth. Akala ko naka-motor eh wala ako nakitang motor. The man fell from a moving jeep. I doubt he's drunk cos I guess an intoxicated person can't get up that fast from the floor. I just wish he's in good condition, walang broken bones whatsoever.

I made another delivery yesterday ☺ I scheduled the said delivery in Glorietta because my IC friends and I were supposed to have brunch in Benny's. Eh na-postpone. So I just went supplies shopping. Eh di productive ☺Which reminds me to remind J if I should ship her order tomorrow.

I feel so blessed and I'm ever so grateful! Kung payat lang sana ako, perfect life na! Haha :P Anyhoo, here's my latest...

GRATITUDE LIST:

  • Crystals Alongside prayers, I am also harnessing the power of the crystals to make the odds more favorable. Happy to have found a trustworthy supplier of effective crystals.
  • Holidays Cos I got to spend time with my sisters and my nephews, albeit short- quality naman. Quezon Memorial Circle with C and the 2 boys came here last Monday.
  • Eats Haven New discoveries to make my bilbil happier
  • Orders It really is fulfilling when people I don't know tell me they love my products ☺ One customer told me my soy candles are at par with the ones she bought in Rockwell and another customer said she looooves my peppermint alcosprays.
  • Being accepted in that bazaar Well, every year I pray I get in (I'm around 95% sure they'll accept me, but of course there's still this nagging feeling na, 'what if hindi?
  • And joining four bazaars this year ☺ Mejo mahal cos I have to pay in advance the space rental. I just pray that I can recover these costs and I hope and pray even with a lot of competition sa tabi-tabi, I still get to sell a lot of my stuff. Sana ako pa rin ang favorite nila.
So life is good right now, maybe except for the nail spa who's not doing too good these days. May dark forces at work daw, but I hope the salt lamp will do it's work. It's supposed to be anti-evil, for protection and can cleanse the energy of a space. Also, someone advised I should light incense sticks in every corner. Gagawin ko yan. Hindi ako susuko.

Cheers to the first ten days on July! Hoping for a more productive and for more lucrative days ahead of us ☺

STAAAAHP EEET

Ayan, patapos na naman ang buwan and that means another end-of-the-month round-off post. There's only a week left of July. Ang lapit na ng birthday ko. Haha. Yes, ibalik ang ugaling atat mag-birthday.

So what have I been busy with this past month?

☻ I've been familiarizing myself with my newest gadgets aka the plotter cutter and the printer. I'm slowly getting the hang of it. I have wasted so much paper and laminating films and money, but as they say, practice makes perfect. At least kapag full-on production mode na ako, gamay na gamay ko na sila. Just yesterday, I finished my very first project using my own printer and cutter.

kinilig ako
Grabe ang sense of fulfillment ko, haha! Hindi pa perfect, I've yet to know how to tinker with the color settings at kung anu-ano pa (and more paper and stickers to waste) before I perfect the art of printing and cutting my own labels.

☺ Supplies shopping, Ayoko pa siguro makita ang susunod na billing ko sa credit card dahil alam ko magiging madugo haha. I should start production already para hindi na ngarag pagdating ng Nov/Dec and I can focus on getting more orders.

☻ Tried out a new burger place- Bypass Burger. Sarap ☺

The place was inconspicuous. If my brother-in-law didn't mention about this new burger place, I wouldn't have noticed it. Tamang-tama din cos this month's craving was burger! And Army Navy's Charlie Bravo. Oh my liver!

Umm.. yan lang pala. Nalungkot naman ako. Akala ko napaka-productive ko eh.

New Look

My blog has a new look ☺ and I looooove it. I still can't tweak it like what the other bloggers do with their blogs but I'm pretty content with how it looks right now. It's back to white background and if before I've had enough with experimenting with putting a photo on the banner area with all the html-tweaking I learned in blog design diy blogs, Blogger made it easy for those like me- nagpapanggap na may alam sa HTML. So anyway, this post is just an update of what's going in this ho-hum life of mine.

'Slobs

Forgot to blog about my stash from AB when she came home last April. This was what I got for pasalubong~
AB got me this muneki neko during her stopover in Japan
me gusta muchoooooo

I AM VERY BUSY gadget purse
naalala niya daw ako nung nakita niya
lagi ko kasing linya yan- Busy ako
And oh, that's the Anastasia dip brow pomade I bought two years ago! After my bazaar stint last 2013, I went online and there it was on my email- 20% off any Anastasia product, free shipping pa. Eh I felt so kawawa, so ayan, dagdag sa koleksyon ko ng mga pang-kilay. You know what's funny? AB brought it by mistake back to NY. This waterproof dipbrow pomade I waited two years to get my hands on is back in New York. Hindi kami meant.

Bad Trip

Remember the case of the Samsung cellphone that wouldn't charge? Well, I took it to St Francis Square to buy a charger since all my "original" chargers (meaning, the chargers that came with the product, ie. the phone) wouldn't charge my phone nor my Kindle which I blame on these curly plastic thingies

These are the culprit. I take care of my chargers. I don't wind them in tight loops, I always hang them on chairs or my headboard to avoid breaking any wires. So these so-called cable protectors were actually the cause of malfunction... None of the chargers would charge my phone, baka sira daw charging pin. So I had it repaired in St Francis din- dun sa mga lalaki na may table na nakaset-up, which in hindsight, mukhang shady characters talaga sila.

So kuya "repaired" the charging right in front of me and after he put everything back together, my sister's call came through so I had to answer. My sister can't hear me so I tried calling her again, hindi pa rin ako marinig. I called our house so I can verify kung talagang signal ang problema o baka nasira na pati audio ng phone ko. The mic is broken. Kuya claimed it wasn't him who broke it. Eh it was working perfectly just minutes before he murdered my phone mic. And he even took my battery somewhere I don't know which I think was suspicious. He'll check something daw with my battery- ang lakas ng kutob ko pinalitan niya ng luma or fake.

I should've learned through AC's experience and not trust these shady people in St Francis Square. AC took her broken netbook in St Francis and left it with them so they could assess the damage, whether or not it's still salvageable. We came back for it, salvageable pa daw pero at the cost of a new netbook so wag na lang. She took it to Asus' authorized repair center and they informed her that the internal speakers were missing.

So right now I have to use earphones to make/answer calls, which is not so bad cos it could've been worse (ie. my phone conking out on me for good). Buti na lang my 2-year phone contract's almost up and I can get a new phone by September. I hope Smart comes up with better phones for my plan kasi sa ngayon ang chachakakhan ng phones for my plan.

Love At First Sight

I was scouring Divi for this specific photo tack material I was able to buy from one of the stalls there two years ago. Akala ko the ones I brought last year from a different supplier was the same as this photo tack material I'm trying to find pero they're, I think, a millimeter thicker so my labels umaalsa at the corners. Ang pangit, diba?

Ang ending, I was at this store where I bought my laminating machine and last year's stash of photo tack supplies and they introduced me to this lovely machine
It's a cutter plotter which means I don't have to cut my labels mano-mano. Honestly, medyo nalungkot ako kasi I like cutting my labels manually, as in with a pair of scissors. But I'm so tempted to buy this pretty "gadget" (well, eto ang version ko ng gadgets), but together with the printer, they cost 26K. Ang sakit ng bulsa ko. Huhuhu... Is this a wise investment? If Agnes & Co. pays me soon, I will buy this baby but if not, then maybe next time. If it's meant to be, all the powers of the universe will conspire to make it happen. Idagdag na din jan ang santong dasalan.

Ayan na muna. Ya tengo sueño.

You can turn off the sun but I'm still gonna shine...

My birthday is only two weeks away, YAY!!! However, I am having these feeling of inadequacies again. Kuma-quarter life crisis lang uli. Dagdagan pa ng weight gain na bonggang-bongga and I'm definitely sulking my life away with a bag of White Cheddar Pop Corners and a Coke. It's a vicious cycle, y'all, and I am sucked right into it.

So anyway, this is an update of what I've been doing with my life which I tell you right now is not much. Haha! I started blogging nine years ago as some sort of therapy- writing down my feelings, getting it out of my system. I also journal old-school style with pen and paper but I wanted to post music, pictures and occasionally, videos, so that's why I made this. Pansin ko lang that most of my posts nowadays are about books that I've read, food I've eaten and mostly material stuff. In fair naman din mas marami akong personal life posts this 2014 as compared to last year. Okay, lezdodizzzz ☺

(+/-) Place of business already transferred here in the house. It has pros and cons but now mas feel ko ang cons. Sales has been lower than what's usual of August and I attribute that to the fact that we are not very accessible. It's like starting from scratch again wherein we had to do flyering and post tarps around the village. In fair I think I'd pay less for electricity. One of the cons I can see is our customers trying out the competitors' services first as they're much more visible and accessible. I just hope they'd still look for our brand of service. Our space is very limited now- no space for waxing and massages.

I hope eventually sales will go higher cos if the customers get used to coming here, we'll convert part of the garage into the nail care area so the upstairs aka my ex-lab will be the waxing and massage area. As of now, pakiramdaman muna.

Another con I can see is that I am now again without a work space for my other business. The sink area is still where I'd work but then I will miss the luxury of having a big space to work in. This means working in the library or AB's room which also means I'd have to clean up my mess after every working day. Ako pa naman I leave my work space as it is, mess and all, becauSKse that means getting back on track in less time. Mahirap nang kumuha uli ng momentum, no? I guess I really have to start production early and be more systematic this time.

(+) Reunions. Started with my reunion with Lola X who's home for the weekend from Singapore. I think the last time I saw her was during our SG visit. Met up with her for some catching-up an also to get my stash- the SK-II and the pen I bought. Merienda at Red Mango na may bonus sighting pa ni Richard Poon at Arron Villafor.

I lost the teal one she gave me two birthdays ago and I have grown so attached
to it that I want a replacement. I had her buy me a new one, same color sana but
they didn't have stock at that time, hence this green one.
Advanced bday gift ko na lang daw. Thanks, Lola! ☺ Ahlavet.
Before meeting with Lola X, I met first with my IC friends J & J. Lola X and I agreed to meeting at 3 in the afternoon and as I was already in Manila at 11:30, I sought after my IC friends who I haven't seen for quite some time. Lunch with J & J at Lido Cocina Tsina, J's treat. New stories regarding our friend's complex lovelife and other IC chismis. Nakita ko rin si Tonya Ferrer. Mas sosi na si Tonya kasi may posse na siya. Ick.

Also met up with Dra. D for a "business proposition," aka a networking shizz. Kahit ano pa sabihin nila na hindi siya networking, there's still some semblance to one. Haven't seen Dra. D since college graduation, I think, and it's good to know that everything's still the same. It's good to know that some people stay humble and down-to-earth albeit their accomplishments. Emphasis on some kasi may some din na akala mo na kung sino... bago ka makarating sa inyo, kailangan ka muna dumating sa secretary niya. O ha! Tapak naman paminsan-minsan sa lupa, teh!

Most recent reunion with Lola J, Prinsesa ng Binondo. Had lunch at Wai Ying for the nth time and although I was disappointed with their hakaw, solve pa din. As usual, kwentuhan about life and love (or the lack thereof) at life and love ng ibang tao (ehem, Lola Juningning!). For the first time after downloading the 10,000 steps app, that was the only time I did move/walk 10,000 times.

And now I am excited to be reunited with Lola Y! She's coming home this September and she's here on my birthday, yay! ☺ Haven't seen her for a year and a half already and I miss her so much already. Alam ko gusto niyang mag-Dubai pero mas gusto kong andito siya sa, haha. So excited for our meet and greet, hehe ☺

(-) At dahi na-open ko na ang topic na hakaw, I just want to share my dissatisfaction with Tim Ho Wan. Finally got to try this very-much-talked-about dim sum place last month. Umm... it was okay. Nothing special. Just liked their BBQ pork buns and all the other food were only so-so, in my opinion.
Yummeh!
Ha-kaw na!
So yesterday A and I ate at Tim Ho Wan and our bill was 1,500++ And there was just the two of us and we didn't even eat that much. Feeling ko na-hold up ako. Haha! I'd come back here only to eat bbq pork buns. For my hakaw fix, I'd go to Wai Ying instead. Sana nag-ramen na lang ako. Or Pollo Loco. Kahit chicken joy mas masaya pa ako.

(+) General cleaning! Because most of my stuff from my ex-lab/office were brought back here in my room and the lib, I had to do major cleaning again. I have so many stuff that I don't know what to do with them anymore. I don't want to throw them away as I feel they're still of importance. I just need to devise a way how to keep and organize them with the limited space I have.

So that's the before & after shots of my room. I'm still not completely done and that computer table looks clean and organized because I haven't returned all the stuff that goes in there yet. But I'm getting rid of the table soon. Will be using my old study table once it's already re-finished ☺

(+) Driving on SLEX and EDSA for the first time ☺

But of course, not without Nonoy. Sa ngayon, kailangan ko pa rin ang supervision (at naka-abang sa hand break) ng marunong na driver. Drove all the way to Alabang and back and for the first time, I hit 60 on the speedometer. Pagsasabihan ako ni daddy niyan but what can I do when the speed minimum limit is 60 kmph?

Hmm.. more good than bad actually. Guess my bad luck is only in the mind. I should really keep a gratitude journal and update more regularly to remind me that I'm very blessed.

What's Up, Doc?

It's daddy's birthday today! We're celebrating later tonight with the cousins. It's pig out time again! Haha. Ayan naman kaya tumataba. Seriously, I need to lose a lot of weight. As in, A LOT. I gained ten pounds and I think this is the heaviest I've ever been. I feel like Totoro. Ha. Buti si Totoro, cute. I feel like a blob and a horrendous blob at that. Hindi cute. Kaya nga naman I'm bringing sexy back. Naks. Haha. My driver's license and vacation pictures were my wake up calls. Those and the fact that I can feel my back fats. Second day pa lang naman pero I did Zumba. Yay me! Hopefully I can do this everyday. Anak ng tinapa ang hirap ng no rice, no? So I'm going to post my progress in here. Sana nga lang may progress. Weight today: 140 lbs. *cringe*

♥ Going to rant here again about my favorite TV series. I am very very VERY disappointed that Suburgatory has been canceled. At least they gave me the ending that I want ☺ Now to the other shows... Watched Star-Crossed's and Bones's season finalés yesterday. Whattanending for both! Just as I'm beginning to get bored with Bones, they give me that nerve-wracking finalé. Yun lang ang alam ko eh Bones and Seeley live in an urban area meaning they have neighbors who could hear all those gunshots coming from high-powered guns so why didn't anyone alerted the police? Star-Crossed's ending? Mapapa-WTF ka talaga. Why'd you leave us hanging like that? Kasalanan yan lahat ni Emery. And on Hart of Dixie, it looks like we'll be back to Zoe + Wade. But first... seriously? Joel is perfectly fine when he hears Zoe profess undying love for Wade which means the whole time they were together she still loves or is hung up on Wade. And their break up was so recent. How can he not react violently to that? I'm still waiting for Jonah Breeland to come back, though. Anyway, have you heard? Rachel Bilson's expecting! She and Hayden Christensen are going to have a baby. I didn't even know they were still together. Ha.

♥ Stash. I've been spending on a lot of  "beauty" products lately. I'm very frustrated with my skin, my hair and my weight. Haha. But really, I must be depressed or something.

I was supposed to buy only the liquid liner but they were able to make me buy two more products that I didn't really need. Anak talaga ako ng nanay ko. In fair, they were on sale that day but still I spent more than I what I originally planned to spend. I don't use them that much now. Tsaka kakasabi ko lang na hindi muna ako bibili ng kahit anong pangkilay because I have enough to last me two more years. And I haven't even gotten my Anastasia stash I bought last December (but I'm going to get it soon, yay!). Okay no more pangkilay products na talaga. Sabi nga ni Bo Sanchez: Drink Now or Drink Forever? I choose Drink Forever. Next time I should remind myself that.

Another impulse buy.

But it was on sale...  and at that time we just came from the province and my face is super sunog and I have all these discoloration on my face. This product had me at "fade."

And here's another:

The thing with Snoe products, not everything is effective. The first Snoe products I bought (Magic Apple Whitening S-rub, Star Night Star Bright Night Perfecting Toner and the Emu Cleanse), weren't too effective. Okay lang the toner and the emu cleanse albeit cannot be used as standalone cleansing products. I need to use another facial wash aside from Emu Cleanse and also another toner/astringent aside from the toner. But the whitening rub? Not effective at all. I still have it here. The next Snoe product  bought was the Outzit soap  and it was amazeballs! I had such a good experience with the Outzit soap that I decided to buy and try another one. The next one was the Awesome Poresome soap and it was quite a disappointment that even if I haven't used up the entire bar, I already bought another one. Barre Beauté Bee Happy soap. This one had me naman at "anti-aging." I feel I already look haggardo versoza so I wanted to use something to ward off signs of aging. So far, so good although still not as good as Outzit. Another Snoe product I bought was the Poudre Phenomenon Pore-Erasing HD Powder. In fair, I like it.

Aside from the abovementioned, I also bought this new Safeguard facial soap for sensitive skin plus the kojic and oatmeal soaps I bought from a customer. I'm using everything all at once and I don't even know what's effective and what's not.

♥ It's summer in the country and there's no denying nor escaping the fact. Normally we don't use the A/C when an electric fan would suffice because aside from the fact that it's cheaper, we're also helping the Earth by not contributing to more greenhouse gases in the atmosphere.

But this time, I succumbed. Kahit mag-isa lang ako sa kwarto, mag-e-aircon ako! But man my electric bill sucks! Eto ang literal na sala sa init, sala sa lamig. During the rainy season, I  have leaking roofs and overflowing gutters to think about. In the summer, it's sky-high electric bills. I already miss January and February weather.

♥ Last but not the least, today on the internet...

Inez.

You know what else I miss? Tumblr. I just realized that now. Haha. I wish someone would pay me to be on Tumblr eight hours a day. Hahaha. Wala lang. I just feel like reminiscing about my love for the website. I think it helped me through the "dark ages" with the all the encouragement and positive shizz I can find in it. I am not really in a rut right now, well, not like the way it was eight to ten years ago. Wow, that was a long time ago na pala.

I've been seeing this quote (words of wisdom? affirmation?) quite often recently.

Maybe it's a reminder that I should keep it positive always. Well, I try to be but sometimes people or situations get me down. So maybe I should add this to my daily mantras, put the law of attraction into use. I hear people say Life is hard or life is complicated, but I want to think otherwise and believe that life is simple. Sabi ko nga tao lang naman nagpapakumplika ng buhay. Is it really necessary to make things difficult? Kailangan ba talagang paghirapan ang mga bagay-bagay? I'm not saying that things should just fall on our laps. I'm just saying that maybe we could find ways to make things simpler, easier, free from complicated cheche boreche at kuskos balungos (this sentiment is inspired by the Philippine government).

Sooooo...

12.12.12

It's the 12th day of the 12th month of the 12th year of the 21st century.

I don't really have time to write anything that will make sense (not that I make sense because most of the time, I don't :-P) so, toodles! I will get to you (with all my backlogs) after I work on all orders.

XOXO

here's hoping i feel better tomorrow

Not feeling very well since this week started, since I started with my herbal medication. I was told that on the first few days I won't be feeling well, maybe because the body is still adjusting to the effects of the 'potion.' I don't know if sleepiness is also a side effect.

And in another news... it's been a week since I turned 30. Wala lang. I just want to share. I just remembered a while ago when I was watching Who The @#$% Did I Marry on Discovery Channel. I remember one week ago I was also watching that show while rushing an order which made me late to my own birthday dinner. For 300 frickin' pesos. But got everything done in an hour so kerikeri na rin.

And the good news~ nabuhay ang namatay ko nang PC. Zombie lang ang peg. My sister's PC technician came over and tried to resuscitate my 7-year old computer and it was a SUCCESS! Guess I could further delay that laptop purchase, eh? And guess what- it has service pack 3, Microsoft Office 2010 and Photoshop CS5. Hindi ko inakalang kaya ng aking 7-year old PC ang ganung programs, ni hindi ko nga mainstallan ng Service pack 2 yan dati. Oh well. Now it's working like a charm :)

Off to bed now. Am being a good girl and just following Mang Kepweng's (Chinese doctor, hehe) orders. Toodles

slacking off for 15 mins

It's raining, it's pouring! Normally, I hate rainy days but since this rainy day isn't too rainy (huh?) and I'm loving the cool weather, I'm fine with it. Hopefully since classes were suspended, students will come and have their pedis, hoho! I was supposed to have tarp banners done today but I'm too lazy to go out of the house plus I hate getting my feet wet. So let me bore you with things that aren't of any interest to you :)

The story of my 3-month-long gel polish

This is the newest technology in nail polish, at least here in the Philippines. My supplier asked me if I would like to test their newest product and if I like it maybe I could offer it in my humble nail spa. I like it and I was REALLY willing to invest in it but most of my "advisers" were against it. I didn't take it. My current market is not the market for gel polish. So anyway, gel polish is supposed to last 3 weeks but I was able to make it last until 3 months!!! It didn't look pangit kasi mukha naman siyang french tip. Gel polish cannot be removed by plain nail polish remover, they needed some kind of special remover wraps and I was too lazy to get my butt over to this mall in Makati so I let my nails grew until one of my nails broke. Wala lang.

Aside from Korean and US series, I also addicted to two things

Anything that has to do with eyebrow grooming

and facial wash!

I tend to have an obsessive personality and once I like something, I go to all the ends of the earth researching and knowing everything there is to know about it or obtaining things to add to my collection. OA naman ang all the ends of the earth... sa abot lang pala ng makakaya ko. It's just that am very obsessive passionate about my favorite things.

I finally tried J. Co Donuts

And it was disappointing. Just wanted to see what's the fuss all about so I dragged A to try the new it donut in town.

The line was long so I was thinking that they must really have good stuff. Their donuts didn't have tags or labels so I just resorted to pointing what looked yummy. I chose the green donut with chocolate sprinkles because I thought it is chocolate mint flavor. Apparently it's Avocado Dicaprio. Well, it was okay naman it didn't taste icky as it sounded (avocado-flavored donut!!) but I was expecting a chocolate mint flavored donut :( I also got Thai Iced Tea which at P115 for 12oz is actually expensive. I've had better-tasting Thai Iced Tea in 8 Spices. I could have gotten a Large Wintermelon Milk Tea at Gong Cha for P90. A got their Cheezy Rich Donut which is just like you regular ensaymada which I could get for less than P10 or P35 if it's from Mary Grace- which is still cheaper than P45. The bread wasn't anything close to your melt-in-your-mouth Krispy Kreme donuts. I expected more from donuts that are 45 a piece. Just sayin'

I'm not going back.

i'm lazy and i know it

This seems to be my peg now. Bad, I know. But it's just so tempting to lie on my bed all day or play Cityville on the computer or watch TV series from start to finish. FML ng bonggang bongga.

I feel I have so many issues to address and I don't know which should come first in my list. It's actually overwhelming that I end up not doing anything. I know I should be doing A, B, C and D but I can't do all of them at the same time but they all seem urgent so I'd just spend all day thinking which should be done first. FAIL. Anubah.

Anyway, the second half of 2012 is here and although I really hate the rainy season, at least it's almost Christmas- my favorite holiday EVARRRR. And oh, my 30th birthday is just 90+ days away. I really love celebrating my birthday but since last year I'm a bit depressed about celebrating and turning another year older. I'm almost 30 and what do I have to show for my 30 years of existence on this earth- NADA. I thought I've sorted out my quarterlife crisis early on but I think it's all coming back to me now. Celine Dion, isdatchu? I hope this article can still be of help.

I'm having a hard time reading Here Lies Bridget because it is in Spanish. Gahd, how can I still not understand a YA book written in Spanish when I have undergone 28 levels of Spanish class plus 4 more special courses? For this reason, I think I'm reading Lauren Oliver's Before I Fall first.

You know what??? In the surface, it seems that everything's going perfect but when I think hard about it, I feel that I don't really know what to do. So to dispel thoughts of negativity, here's my Gratitude List:

  • My FBS and OGTT results are normal. Yay! Which means I still can indulge on sweets and sugary drinks ☺ But boy, was that scary. I don't want to spend my life taking maintenance medications, no. So I've gone easy on softdrinks already and I haven't been guzzling down liters and liters of my favorite drink. Surprisingly, I am not craving for it. I better keep this up.
  • Chocolates, chocolates and chocolates! Not really a chocoholic here but I love love love milk chocolates especially Kisses and Milky Way. I happen to not like nuts in my chocolates so that Snickers bar is all yours :P AB sent us loads of chocolates and happiness is knowing I can still eat them.
  • Getting my check tomorrow! Whoopeedoo :) I'm treating my family to a nice lunch when Daddy arrives.
  • Complete Jessica Darling series by Megan McCafferty. Siobhan Vivian's The List. Lauren Oliver's Before I Fall. Thank heavens for ebooks ☺ I ♥ YA books, y'all ;)
  • My Singapore trip on Sept/Oct! Since it's highly improbable that I'll be seeing New York this 2012, I'm going to SG instead. Will be going with one of my BFFs and we'll be visiting, actually crashing, Xmas' place for 5 days. Speaking of which, I've yet to decided what I want to do there.
  • Season 2 of Awkward in 3 weeks...
Since I've started making lists, here goes my To-Purchase List:

SHOPPING LIST
  • a laptop. or a desktop. Still haven't decided yet which to get. More people said I should get a laptop since it would allow me to be more mobile. Only one told me I should get a desktop. But there's an 85% chance I'm getting a laptop para makapagoffice-office ako dun. Haha.
  • I need a bag. My current partner-in-crime business is bags but I'm not too much of a fan of her design and also the quality na rin. I bought one from her a few years back but it lasted only a few weeks. I need a sturdy schlepping bag that doesn't give even when holding TONS of personal stuff inside.
I think that's it for now. I'm not a very materialistic person and the only pressing need I have right now is a laptop. Still using my sister's PC and she's taking it away SOON. I was thinking of letting my sister buy me one in the States cos it's cheaper there daw or I'll buy in SG instead. But time is of the essence and I don't think I can wait for both. I need a new project para mas guilt-free and laptop shopping ☺

Omigosh I feel so much better now after this post. Thank you dear blog for being there. Ha. I really need to buy a laptop soon so I could do these quasi-nonsensical things while overseeing spa operations.

Good night, loves :)

just because I have nothing better to do

Technically, I have LOTS of things to do but am too lazy. Started the week with a 2-day vacay and it sort of set the R&R mode so the entire week I was lethargic and lazy and always coming up with excuses to not do what I should be doing.

Just got home from a family lunch at Bagoong Club. First time to eat there and it was scrumptious! They were having this 40% off promo and so we decided to have daddy's birthday lunch over there. We had crispy pata, kare-kare, monggo with beef chuva and lots more. Super busog ♥ Food was yummeh and service was superb! I didn't have to ask for iced tea refills, they refill it even before my glass's empty. Daddy's heading back to the province tomorrow :(

Anyway, I've been youtube-ing ever since we got home and would like to share this- Ramon Bautista's Tales From The Friend Zone, Episode 1

Pamatay ang intro music! Haha.

Sana makakita tayo ng boylet na mukhang Phillip Phillips pero with Ramon Bautista's sense of humor. Is that asking for too much? :P

I am currently addicted to missA's music video "Goodbye Baby" and I am a Suzy fan (albeit I have recently developed an aversion to the name). I'm trying to dance to it and I look like a big bouncing ball I really think it's high time I take losing weight seriously. Became a big Suzy fan after watching Dream High and I need to watch her movie Introduction to Architecture/ Architecture 101

She's so pretty :) And reviews say that it is a good movie. There are available torrents but no subs yet. Dear Die Hard Fans, Please do your job. Haha. Demanding ba? I can't understand a thing but why do I feel someone will die in this movie? #stereotype

Anyway, got to go now. Dinner in a wee bit. We're having KK for dinner- Kalderetang Kambing! #thisiswhyimfat
