weekly fix

Continuation of my sweet TV love affair :)

New Girl 1.02: Kryptonite

I like episode more than episode 1- it's much funnier. But I noticed that Coach is no longer in this episode but I guess it's better that they take him out while it's still early para wala nang chance ma-attach ang viewers sa character niya. Damon Wayans who plays Coach has another TV series where he is one of the leads and it must be the reason why he let New Girl go. Meh.

Jess still hasn't got her things from the house she used to share with her ex-boyfriend and Schmidt and Nick tells her to go get her things but Jess kept on delaying because she just can't, saying that her boyfriend and his hair are his kryptonite. But when Jess accidentally breaks their TV set, her room mates coaxed her to go get her stuff and the TV from her ex.

It's so funny when on the first time she went over to her ex's house she brought him and the girl he cheated her with to the airport and she's even fetching the girlfriend when she arrives. What a pushover. And the second time she went there but this time with the roomies and the BFF, it took her several times to go around the block before she mustered enough courage to go get her stuff.

If ever Jess ends up with one of them I'd like it to be Nick :) Nick's nice and cute.

Gahd! This is why I really hate not writing about my series right after I watch them- I forget the stuff I really want to write about. Next time I'll write a post right away or maybe take down notes.

Gossip Girl 05.01: Yes, Then Zero
My loves are back! Make that my love- Blair Waldorf. Since I can't remember everything I originally wanted to write about, I'll just talk about my favorite bit in this episode- Dan + Blair. OMIGAAAAAAHD! I can't ask for anything more! Seriously, I've been waiting for this forever, since the first or second season pa yata. I'm just confused and can't remember if something happened between Dan and Blair and this means I'd have to watch the last few episodes of Season 4. This is awesome.

This is killing me... but in a feel-good kind of way. There are rumors that this could be Gossip Girl's last season and if it really is, I want Dan and Blair to end up together. I know I used to vie for a Dan + Serena ending but I guess I've switched teams. I really hope the writers come up with a kick-ass story this season, one involving a Chuck-Blair-Dan love triangle. How awesome would that be ;)

In other GG eklavu~ Nate is at it again, being a man-whore, I mean. Ano ba!!! Ang lalake na yun talaga may pagka-gigolo haha.

Serena is being floozy again, as usual. I mean, sinong prod assistant ang pupunta sa trabaho na naka-plunging neckline and in 3-inch heels??? I, too, would feel she's getting special treatment as what Ethan Peck's character thought. Serena always bitches about people not taking her seriously; why can't she get it that she only has to not dress like a skank so people will not think she is a skank. And Chuck... I just wish he finds another nice girl to fall in love with because I am pro-Dan+Blair.

Awkward 1.11 + 12: Season Finale
For the past few episodes I've been on Team Jake but now I'm TORN!!! Basically, it was Jake's fault that Matty didn't push through with his version of the Big Ask (for the formal) because Matty sort of wanted to accompany Jake in his misery or maybe because Jake has been bitching about Jenna turning him down he doesn't have the heart (and the balls) to admit to Jake and to everyone else that he and Jenna are together.

So Jenna and Jake are going to the dance and I feel baaad for Matty dear. Asking Jenna to the formal via a fortune cookie would have kicked ass. See, I'm really really torn on this one. How could I switch team now? I'm in love with Jake and I think he's nice and Jenna deserves someone like him but I also like Matty for her. Matty sincerely likes her but because of the circumstances, Jenna feels he's only after that. It broke my heart when Matty saw Jake and Jenna at the dance. I'm so looking forward to the 2nd season.

Omigahhh~ that scene when Jenna told Matty that his take-out box would probably go bad by lunch- I think it was some sort of omen. Matty said he was willing to risk it and look where it took him- sa wala. So what's the moral of the story: Daig ng maagap ang masipag. Yes Matty's waaaay ahead of Jake but it was Jake who was quick to ask Jenna and the fact that Jake was not going to keep her a secret. Matty kept on stalling and maybe if he had asked her right away, it would have been perfect. Eh hindi. But you see this is also hard on Matty because it's like he had to choose between the girl he likes and his best friend. Because he was afraid to hurt one, he didn't choose and instead, ended up with nothing. Sige na torn na ako pero I swear Jake is sooooooo adorable and fun and not to mention, so damn fine, Haha!  Yes that's it- Jake's not afraid to be a dork. Matty's too self-conscious.

ohhhh.. snap.

I always second-guess what will happen with my series (and movies) and even before it kind of suggested that it was Jenna's mom who wrote the letter, I kind of thought about it already. My sister and I were analyzing why would Jenna's mom do such a thing. I was thinking maybe she just wants to push Jenna to go out there and enjoy her youth or maybe she wants Jenna to live as she would have since she was kind of robbed off her youth when she got pregnant with Jenna. But now I'm thinking maybe it wasn't Jenna's mom. It was only now that I got to read the things that were written and I think it's too harsh if your own mom told you that no one would notice if you disappear from the face of the earth. Or would her mom tell her she is not pretty??? So I think it may not be her mom. It's a pretty common design and it's not like it's personalized stationery, right? But who would write Jenna that kind of letter?

Anyway, things just got more complicated meaning the second season has much potential for being much more awesome!!! Me likey this series so so so much <3
