week 4: nosebleed

Had visitors from New York. Went to Tagaytay to see the volcano and whathaveyous. Filipino lunch at Josephine's and merienda in Bag of Beans- yummy coffee and blueberry cheesecake. Traffic going back to Manila was bad and Joaquim was having tantrums inside the automobile. Went to Kuya B's house and had dinner. Pork sinigang, FTW! We've been eating since morning. THIS IS THE LIFE! And when I start on packing on the pounds, I'm sure I'll be hitting my head with a fork. But really, food tastes sooo good. I have no other choice than give in... Started repainting of the shop.

Day 2 of shop refurbishment. Sta. Lucia to buy additional materials but came home with nothing. AC treated me to nuggets meal, upsized to one with twister fries. Giddy!!! Was supposed to go out on dinner with cousin and friends but because of the bus bombing, they opted to stay in the hotel so we ended up just eating in the hotel bar. It was a fun night though- chitchatting over (verrrry expensive) Coke and pizza margherita.

Mostly stayed in the plaza to oversee repair work.  Trip to the hardware to buy additional materials. AD accompanied me in the Daiso store to see if there are stocks of those 88-peso wall stickers we want to put on our accent wall. Zilch. Ended up just having coffee in Starbucks SLE, which with its outdoor table set-ups, reminds me of The Hills... jejemon version. Ha.

Trip to the hardware again. They started working on the waterproofing. Called AD and asked if she can accompany me to Home Depot to look for wallpapers for our accent wall. Went first to Megamall to check if Daiso St. Francis has stock of the 88-peso wall sticker. Still none. Boo. Season 2 and 3 of Dexter. A NatGeo docu on volcanoes, atmosphere, etc. New Ambeth Ocampo book for 95 pesos ☺ AD treated me to shawarma in Uncle Moe's. Yummmmmy!

Stayed home all day-  bantay sa (supposedly) last day of repairs but they didn't finish yet with the repainting of the tables and stools so they'd have to come back on Monday. Nene and I cleaned up the shop and got it ready for Saturday.






Stayed home ALL DAY again. Started watching my documentaries and only go to finish the one on volcanoes. Merienda over My Amnesia Girl with AC and Nene.

 

Skill-tested a nail tech at 9 in the morning. So far, so good. Asked her to do extra work muna while I'm still interviewing more nail techs.  Lunch at Don Antonio but sans mommy and AC. Yummy lechon kawali, pancit and turbo chicken for lunch. Christmas gifts ♥
