scapegoat

January is almost over and I couldn't be any happier. Looking back through the years, parang almost all my business-related problems come out of hiding during this month. But February's here and from experience this month isn't as good to me too but it'll only be 28 days until March, one of my + months. Astrology and the signs interest me but I never really believed that signs have something to do whether or not two people will get along but I just recently realized that most of the people in my life are either Pisceans and Geminis. Not all but most. Just an observation.

Anyway, this week has been pretty steady and for a while there I sort of forgot to worry about my manicurista problem. Take note: I forgot to worry not did not worry. There's a difference, I feel. Refurbishment of the shop took five days and it's not finished yet. Repairs and repainting will resume on Monday.

Remember I declared Monday and Tuesday as part of my worry-free days? It did push through as planned =) Finally, we already met the last cousin. I've met everyone now I can die. Not.

Started Monday earlier- with mommy, sisters, in-law and nephew, we set out to Manila to fetch our uncle then headed to Cavite to meet with the rest of the group. Met Mike, his girlfriend A, bestfriend L and Uncle Oz's friend, Andy. Cousin D told me they're a fun group and they are. Of course we couldn't 'click' just like that. Even if we are cousins, it's the first time ever we've met, seen or talked to each other. We wouldn't want to come across as overly eager. After we exchanged hi's and hello's we headed to Josephine's for lunch. We had scrumptious Filipino cuisine for lunch, overlooking Taal lake. Taal Vista Lodge after to take a closer look at the volcano and then to Sonya's Garden to make ocioso, yun lang. Coffee and dessert at Bag of Beans. It was my first time to try Coffee Caramel Macchiato and I actually loved it. Guess I'll be ordering another drink in Starbucks aside from my staple, mocha frappuccino. Then, back to Manila and had dinner at Kuya B's house.

Star of the day was Joaquim who was charming the pants off everyone. Adrienne even said he was her little boyfriend. How cute, yes? Medyo may S lang siya on our way back to Manila but when we reached Kuya B's house, there he was again grinning from ear to ear, baring his shark teeth. Such a cutie =)

Tuesday. We were supposed to meet for dinner after their Corregidor tour but because of this bus bombing shizz, they opted to not go out anymore. Boo! We just had dinner at the hotel and exchanged stories about religion, 9/11, how their Corregidor tour went, etc. Of course, nosebleed to death na naman tayo but I really enjoyed the chit chat, I enjoyed hearing their stories. Our conversation had to be cut short because it's already late and they had a flight to catch at 9 in the morning and my sisters have work the next day.

I really enjoyed that. The time wasn't enough with all the catching-up we had to do. Now I'm more excited to go to New York.

Only 18 days 'til the day I go cold turkey.
