how much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?

Fangirling on my free time ♥

Was talking to AB a while ago and the topic of Chuck (one of my favorite series) was brought up. So then I started getting all giddy because Chuck is currently my peg for the perfect boyfriend. Ha. Asa. But anyway here are Chuck/Zachary Levi Youtube videos ☺

Chuck + Sarah scenes coupled with this Lifehouse song just sends me into a giddy-trance-mode.
"How can I stand here with you and not be moved by you?"
I die. A thousand million times of kilig.

[Wow. Can't get over the fact that Yvonne Strahovski and I are the same age.
Now I feel so inadequate. Bah. *grunt* ]

I must have posted this song many times already. I love it that much. I love Chuck that much.
I didn't even know he could sing until Ycel gave me a link to this video. And this video
made me fall even deeper in love with Chuck even if this was done outside his capacity
as Chuck. What a dreamy voice Zachary Levi has ♥

Gaaaahd! Seriously, Chuck is my peg for the perfect boyfriend (and yes I know I am being redundant) because he's cute, kind, super nice, tall and very smart with or without the intersect. And he can handle the intersect! Morgan has the intersect for like 2 seconds and then he feels super invincible and it went straight to his head but Chuck knew how work it perfectly.

I'm sad that this is Chuck's last season. I kinda grew attached to the whole Chuck cast especially the awesome trio of Chuck-Casey-Sarah. But all good things come to an end. Just look on the bright side, I'll always have the DVDs whenever I need a good dose of kilig or suddenly feel the need to swoon :)

11.11.11

Wala lang. Just jumping on the bandwagon.

Still busy but was able to squeeze in some quality time with my friends.

Last Monday, accompanied AD in Manila Seedling Bank. I had no plans whatsoever to buy anything from there but I ended up buying more than AD. Not for personal reasons though. The POW badly needs some spiffying so I got new plants and also new pots and potting soil mix and fertilizers. Finished at around 2pm and was already nursing a mild headache by that time. Maybe because I was already hungry or maybe because of the mid-noon scorching heat. I'm guessing both. AD's lunch treat at Chicken Charlie. My treat at Starbucks. Even if I say that I am not having Starbucks just to fill up my card with promo stickers, I think I am actually drinking coffee from Starbucks because of that planner. I have all the planners from each year. Unused. E I could buy a big Moleskine planner at half the price of what I will spend if I get all the stickers needed to redeem the planner. But if I get the Moleskine, wala akong coffee.

Went with A to Divi last Tuesday. She had to buy eco bags for their Christmas gift packs to be given to employees. I had to buy additional fabrics and ribbons. Well guess what happened... her original Longchamp bag was slashed lang naman. Fortunately, all her things were still inside. But still that bag cost at least three thousand. Although I am a Divisoria veteran, it was the first time that something unfortunate (slashed bag) happened either to me or my companion and I felt responsible. Well, that was a lesson learned also for me.

Only 4 minutes to go until 11.11.11 ends.

Crunch time na!

last song syndrome

and the visuals, too! Nyahaha!

What? It's funny! Well, I still think it's too risqué to show on TV and on channels easily accessed by kids. I'd be scandalized if my nephews start dancing like that. But aside from that, I really find the video funny.

weekly fix

Been pretty busy these days but that doesn't mean I can't watch my series. I still do, right before I go to sleep :) I just don't have the time to post about it. However, my beloved Chuck has premiered last Saturday (Philippine time) and I reckon I have to commemorate the beginning of the end. I didn't know this season would be Chuck's last until the end of the episode when they previewed next week's episode. Inasmuch as I would like to see more of Chuck + Sarah + Casey and the Buy More-ons, I think they can't stretch this any longer.

Chuck 5.01 Chuck Versus the Zoom
So anyway, this season start off with the new team going on their own mission, independent from the government and they're kind off fumbling. I think it has nothing to do with their skills because Casey and Sarah are super spies. It has something to do with their confidence level, that they're going at it by themselves without helicopters and uniformed men to back them up when push comes to shove.

You see I am not excited to see Morgan with the intersect because he is Morgan and he is just supposed to be Morgan. Pero in fernez, natawa ako when he changed "flash" into "zoom." And speaking of flashing zooming, I feel Chuck getting a little possessive over the ability. Though I have a feeling the intersect will be back to Chuck's brain soon.

Seeing Sarah with short hair makes me want to cut my hair short also.

But then again, I feel it won't work on me because:
a) short hair will make me gain 20 more pounds and make my round face even rounder;
b) my hair is wavy alright, but in no way are they like Sarah's curls. Mine are juvenile delinquents and in hair prison, they belong in maximum security; and,
c) copying Sarah's (Yvonne Strahovski) haircut will not make me look like Sarah. Asa pa.
Aside from my vanity concerns, I really love how Chuck is so sweet and would give everything for Sarah. I hope they just took the money and live comfortably and peacefully together and start their own family with little Sarahs and Chucks running around in this cute little house with picket fences and a red front door.

Pero nanaig pa rin ang kagustuhang maging hero. If it were me, I'd take the money and let the world fend for itself. Malaki na siya, no!

New episode tomorrow!!!

New Girl 1.04 Naked
No stills because the file is in the other computer. Boohoo. Anyway, this is going to be short and sweet. Just want to say that last Tuesday's episode was worth the wait. Super funny. SUPER. I am in love with Zooey Deschanel. I can so relate to her. Well, I hope I could be pretty like her and dress fabulously cute like her but the only thing I can identify with Jess is her un-ladylike-ness-ish. I will never be mahinhin. I will never have finesse. And yes, I always break into a dance like the dingdong shuffle or the waist whittle. At least I don't break into a song. Bahaha.

No new episodes for GG and Hart of Dixie this week. Starvaganza na, bombonanza pa. Wala lang. Gusto ko lang sabihin yun. Night, toodles! Now off to watch Bones' first episode of the 7th season :D

this will bore you

I'm sad that I was not able to write an entry the first day of November because it would have been dated 1.11.11. But I still have November 11 :)

Update!!! Last Saturday, Jo and I went on an eat-all-you-can pig-out at Vikings. Pero hindi ko nasulit kasi I was mega late. Yeah, yeah, yeah I know what you're thinking but it was  really unavoidable. That Saturday I had planned to hit two birds with one stone- deliver an order to a classmate and meet with Jo but what I thought I had planned to a T but my printer said I could pick up my labels in the afternoon pa, meaning I can't do my delivery but I HAD TO DELIVER THE ORDER TODAY, IN THE MORNING so I just printed the labels in my (naghihingalong) printer. Buti na lang black & white lang yung label ko kundi wala na talaga. And the pouches I had made weren't finished yet- they had yet to be stringed. FML. I was supposed to leave the house at 9am, be at IC at 10 and meet with Jo in MOA at 11. Ending? I left the house at 11am and to make matters worse, the traffic was frickin' heavy. It took me two loooong hours to get to Manila. After making the delivery, went straight to Vikings where Jo was waiting for. So super lugi ako sa mahal na buffet na yun. To maximize the cost of the buffet, one has to be there early because in pig-outs, pacing is key and when you only have less than an hour, time is of the essence pero nasulit ko na din daw yun kasi nag tenderloin at rib eye steak ako.

But I'm really really thankful that my friend wasn't mad at all. I was super apologetic and I guess she knew my reason was valid. Kwentuhan lang while eating, walking, etc. I really miss my friends. I miss having them just one train ride away. After Vikings and MOA, headed back to Divi to have coffee and buy stuff I forgot to buy on my last Divi trip.

Ycel called from Hungary. No, I didn't get to talk to her. If I remember it correctly, I had just finished taking a bath and my phone was ringing when I went out of the bathroom, the call was forwarded to the Nail Spa as what happens when I don't answer calls during the first five rings. It rang again but when I answered there was no one on the other end. I knew it was a call from abroad because it had a different country code. I just found out this morning that it was Ycel. She emailed me that I didn't answer her call. Sayans. Sana abot ng Magic Jack ko ang Hungary.

I'm so proud of myself for being so productive these past few days. But still I think I need a calendar to I could really see a tangible reminder of the time I have left before the bazaar. I feel that I've done a lot already but there are still a bazillion other things that needs to be done. I haven't been able to go to the Nail Spa which is sad because I need to focus on that, too. But Nov & Dec really belong to my fragrances and we gotta hit when the iron is still hot.

I need a facial and a haircut. NOW. I can feel the lumps and bumps on my face. And the hair is now one tangled mess. But I can't indulge myself yet on vanity chuva because I need to focus on being a one-man-production-line. But after all this holiday hoopla, I will indulge myself big time.

Christmas is just 51 days away!!!

shallow val

Lazy Friday so here's part 2 of my update.

THE BOX IS HERE!
AB's balikbayan box has arrived :) Finally, I have my Teen Vogue and many many other magazines, my bilins and chocolates!

We took pictures of the box and us posing with the box- it is, after all, one of AB's milestones: her very first balikbayan box. I also got the owl doll which I highly suspect is for my nephews but since I am in my I-adore-owls phase right now, I kept it for myself. Hehe. Buti na lang hindi pa ako bumibili ng bagong facial wash. Facial washes have been my addiction ever since and I am always to tempted to buy a new one even if I haven't used up the other ones. I'm trying to save which means no unnecessary expenses and see, good things come to those who wait- L'oreal's Go 360 Clean! Sorry mababaw lang talaga ako.

But of course, in the box there is also...

NAIL POLISH OVERLOAD! I ♥ IT. I really want to keep them for myself but they have to go to the business. These are from my sister and aunt abroad. But I also bought some online and they were in the box, too. So without further ado...

I'm in love. I know they say that we should love people not things but I can't help it when there are far more cute and pretty things that can be bought from a store. Gosh, I really want to keep them for myself!!! Especially China Glaze's For Audrey. And the gray one, too. If only I were filthy rich, I'd buy every China Glaze, OPI, Orly, Rescue and other nail polish brands' colors out there. Plus, I really love how they smell.

Thank you, AB! I really hope we could visit her next year which reminds me, I need to get our pictures taken.

Movies #71 and #72: Real Steel, No Other Woman

I wasn't planning on watching Real Steel because I thought it was an action movie. I've been hearing the movie plug on radio, that it's about robots boxing and I never really developed interest in boxing and robots. But after mass last Sunday, A+D asked me if I wanted to come with them to watch Real Steel. In fernez, it was a nice watch and not really about robots boxing. Well, technically it is but what I mean is it was not the main plot of the story. It tells us a lesson that we shouldn't give up easily on our dreams, that if we work hard on it maybe we will still achieve it. One thing though, Hugh Jackman's character didn't really want his son nor he had love for him and wouldn't want anything to do with him until his son showed interest in robot boxing and his son's salvaged robot was actually winning matches- so without the common interest and money, would he still learn to love his son?

Finally, I got to watch this and it didn't disappoint. It's a funny take on an otherwise serious issue- adultery. The acting was good because I am no other woman (or anybody else's woman for that matter) but I actually cried when Anne Curtis' character begged for Derek Ramsay to not leave her. All the while I was crying I was like, "ano ba 'to, hindi naman ako kabit?" So I guess effective ang acting.

There were a few quotable quotes I found funny like when Anne Curtis was lounging in her snakeskin bathing suit and Cristine Reyes asked her if that's her bathing suit or actually her skin. Award.

Oh no I'm way past my self-imposed time limit here on the internet so I would have to bid you adieu.

quick update

Been very busy right now and I am only able to blog right now because I am waiting for my files to send to my printer. I'll use this little time to blog about recent happenings in my ordinary, boring but content and happy life.

♥ My sister (and her business partner) and I (and my friend/partner-in-crime) joined this pa-morningan bazaar in a call center. When I was first approached with this proposal, I wanted to pass the chance because I am in no way going to be awake during the wee hours of the morning. But somebody said that people who work in call centers have purchasing power and rent's pretty cheap- P400 for an entire week. So we pushed through with this little venture of ours. We were there only 2 days- the first and the last day. Total sales: P755 Experience: Priceless.

For almost an entire week I felt like a zombie. It's called graveyard shift for a reason.

♥ My current business buddy (and neighbor/batchmate) and I went to Divi last Monday to shop for packaging stuff and me, my materials for candle-making. We had lunch at Wai Ying (for the umpteenth time) and once again I was able to recruit another member in the Wai Ying Lovers Club. But I swear they must be putting loads of MSG in their food because we were super bangenge after. Choco hot fudge for dessert. Happy tummy ☺

We thought we have extra time to go around the malls and buy stuff for personal enjoyment but no, we ended up scurrying to and fro, trying to accomplish everything in our to-do list, buying everything in our to-buy list. Pagoda. And my feet were killing me. They were already in pain since the shoes I wore last Sunday were a size too small. Anyway, I enjoyed being in tired from that Divi trip.

♥ I'm backlogged with two weeks worth of TV series reviews. It is really not necessary but I want to do them :( I miss New Girl. And oh, they bumped Chuck's season premiere to Oct 28 instead of Oct 21. Boo.

♥ Bought 2 books yesterday! Valerie Frankel's Smart vs. Pretty and Sara Ban Breathnach's Something More. Booksale ♥

Super late already for my 4pm appointment so, TOODLES! xoxo
