Signs

So lately I've been asking God, the universe for signs whether or not I should still go on with the nail spa and lately I've also been seeing more of these let go quotes, etc. But the internet, tumblr most especially is teeming with these so even if I feel they're God's answer to my question, I'm still asking for this one sign that I'm 100% sure is the sign I've been waiting for.

via
For now, albeit these signs speak to me (or maybe I just want them to mean what I want them to mean), I'm still waiting for this unmistakable sign whether to let go or hold on.

It Is What It Is

Before I "officially" start work, here's something of interest to me I saw on the net.

First is this comic strip on 9gag which accurately describes the romance aspect of my life right now (and for the last 15 years, HA!)

photo grabbed from 9gag
Although it can't be for the last 15 years cos we only got legit "hi-speed" internet connection in 2005 or 2006, so mga ten years lang pala.

Yay!

So I've been video-hopping on YouTube, been watching book trailers. Just out of the blue, I typed "Attachments book review" because I wanted to see if there were other Attachments (by Rainbow Rowell) out there, fans who love the book with passion. And I found her~

And I loooove her already. Just because she likes Attachments just as I do. Well actually I love the book more than she does because she only gave it 4 stars, while I gave it 5. But still, that giddy look on her face while dishing out what she thinks about the book- so relatable. Haha! If only I was coherent, I'd totally make a book review vlog which would, no doubt, only contain gushing over fictional crushes. Oh, I don't need coherence pala if I'm just going to gush about hot boys who don't even exist. But whatever. Whatever floats my boat, right?

I want to read Attachments again.

Squeeeee!!!!

Another post. Because I have time. Har har.

Well, I think the internet is evil as it sucks me into the world wide web vortex. But I can't help but enjoy all the amusing things I find in the internet. For starters, BuzzFeed  has this Helga G. Pataki "article" today which I think doesn't really make sense but I still like because it's Helga/Hey! Arnold.

Another article on BuzzFeed I saw last night was '21 Books To Read Before They Hit The Big Screen in 2015.' It was interesting because I kinda sorta have this newfound appreciation for books, especially those in the YA genre and included in the list is one of my favorites- The DUFF. Yay, they're turning it into a movie ☺ I'm so excited and the best part about it it's coming out in theaters on Feb 20 which means I don't have to wait very long. Huzzah!

{source}
Bianca's supposed to be fat, or at least chubby, and this girl isn't chubby at all
And if that's Wesley Rush, umm... well, let's give him a chance
And oh here's the trailer which I haven't seen yet (as of  presstime, naks ;))

Aside from DUFF, I'm also excited for Insurgent (Hello, Theo James!), The Longest Ride (Hi, Clint Eastwood's handsome son), Paper Towns and The Scorch Trials (because I like Dylan O' Brien). Gahd, so many eye candies to look out for.

Being Socially Adept

At least, in social media :P

{source}
Things I find on the internet... but they're so so so relatable. I used to troll tumblr every day back when I was less busy and used to sulk and rant about my life. I found solace in tumblr. It's comforting to know I am not alone and tumblr's where I got my positivity shizz. I now visit the site every once in a while because I am now busier with grown-up stuff [which is obligatory even if "I don't feel like adulting yet", LOL] and there's Pinterest and Instagram now.

Here are some IG posts from people I follow:

via a series of, then-seemingly-unfortunate, but now-are-actually-
serendipitous events

and this I need to keep reminding myself
I like Instagram and I love love love following lady-entrepreneurs "lady boss" like me. But in my case, I am the boss of me because there's no one else in my business but me. I am a one-man production team. Which actually has its pros and cons. Anyway, I just like following other girls who are in the same boat as I am. There's strength in numbers, haha!

And last and but not the least- Pinterest. However, recently, I think they deleted some of the images in there because I swore I have "pinned" a bazillion images into my boards but when I checked they were just a few in there. Bah. Corny. But anyway, my favorites are the super funny someecards such as this one

Which is so funny because it's true. And speaking of the gym, I haven't been to the gym and my membership's expiring in six months. Sayang.

And here's another funny but oh-so-true

YES!
I have just one person in mind. ONE. I could always "hide" her from my feed but sometimes I find entertainment in her posts.

Kthanksbye ←I also got this from the internet.

I Think I Lack Social Exposure

I need an electrician and I don't know where to get one. In other news, here are the things I stumbled upon on the internet today...

* I never followed the World Cup chuva that's been going on but I saw this earlier today- And kids, that's how I played in the World Cup: Guillermo Ochoa or Ted Mosby? The resemblance is uncanny. At first I thought someone had photoshopped Ted's head on a soccer player's body. They look so much alike.

* I waste my time going on countless websites everyday. Eh sabi nila time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time. Anyway, one of my recent discoveries is the website Toothpaste for Dinner. Most of the comics are funny while there are some which I don't get. Meh.

* And this one I found on 9GAG:

I can relate. Well I feel like this in two occasions: after finishing a TV series and after reading a good book.

Okay, ayan muna.

Break Muna

As someone who works from home (and alone), I usually get my laughs from things I find on the Internet. Without further ado, this week's dose:

Professional Heckler's tweet re: MRT's frequent malfunctions...

At in fair, this is why I love working from home- I get to avoid crazy Manila traffic.

And here's another one care of ol' trusty Buzzfeed- 19 People Who Are Having A Way Worse Day Than You.
{image source}
Funny, no? I was literally LOL-ing while perusing this article.

Okay, this next article is not really per se, maybe only when you are actually 30 and can relate to the items on the list- 30 Words That Have A Different Meaning After You Turn 30. But you know what, I think I was acting like a thirty year old even when I was twenty-something. Haha. However I can relate to #s 1, 4, 7, 19 and 25. Especially #4.

So that's it pansit for today☺

I Shouldn't Be Doing This Right Now

So I still haven't gotten over that HIMYM finalé just yet. How can I move on when my social network feeds are buzzing with everything HIMYM. Some liked the ending, some didn't. It was no secret that I liked it, maybe because I was never really 100% into Tracy aka The Mother. Yeah, it was a little fairy tale-ish but hey, I'd rather be misled with a lie. Haha.

* With the kind of build up leading to the series' final episode, the viewers' expectations were nothing less than stellar. I mean, the show was legendary and we sort of expected for it to end the same way. But we can't please everybody. Found this article- 5 Criticisms of How I Met Your Mother's Ending (And Why They're Invalid), for all of you who were disappointed with the ending. Not all fans are like me- I have unconditional love for thee.

* Was in a Twitter conversation with a friend earlier today and we were talking about HIMYM's ending and I was telling her how it gave me hope just when I was thinking of giving up. Eh namatay daw si Mother, how the hell did that give me hope, according to my friend. Haha. May point siya. But really, Ted and Robin being finally together after all those years- Priceless. Everything will work out the way it's supposed to (got that from the most disturbing and heaviest episode of TWD). Akala ko ako lang ang nagiin-OA at naghahanp ng life lessons but apparently there are people like me- 19 Times HIMYM Restored Your Faith In Love. But really, dammit. I don't want my faith in it restored :P

I will never look at yellow umbrellas the same way again *sigh*

UPDATE: So I found another article about HIMYM's series finale. I didn't know people have strong feelings against that little twist at the end. Here's a fan-edited of an alternative ending which what should have happened~

You know what, this looks good too. I would have loved any of the two. Maybe fans found the ending a little contrived? Or maybe they think that Robin doesn't deserve Ted (I believe this. But the heart wants what the heart wants). Sana nagpa-text vote na lang sila. Chos. Let's not judge the series by its ending- those were funny nine seasons ☺

And on other news... I just saw this online

{source}
It's a Chanel bag with the Nickelodeon characters on it. It's Arnold! Although it would have been so much better if Helga was on it, too.

And oh here's another one I saw online- a Rebel Wilson meme.

iwastesomuchtime.com
So true, right? Fakkit.

A New Label Category Since I Do Spend Too Much Time On The Internet

I want to start this new 'label' or category here in my blog about various interesting articles I find on the internet. Just so I could keep track of the interesting reads or trivia because I love that shizz.

Whilst I am not exactly an internet addict and can actually live without it, I'm afraid I cannot resist it. Give me an internet connection and a computer, I surely would get sucked into the wonderful world of ze internet. So without further ado~

 * Buzzfeed is buzzing with a lot of interesting and/or funny articles. I came across this one- 26 Problems Only Anxious People Will Understand- while browsing the site. Seriously, this article just described me. FML? FML. It's not funny, you guys. It is exhausting, I tell you. I do not know how to relax. Even when I'm supposedly relaxing, I tell myself to relax. But yeah, this is funny.

* The abovementioned article was written by a Buzzfeed writer who also owns a blog and she is funneh. I already followed her on Twitter and am planning on bookmarking her blogsite.

* Speaking of Twitterverse... As I was lulling myself to sleep by perusing the wonderful world of Twitter, I read all of Wilson Bethel's (HoD's Wade Kinsella) and John Francis Daley's (Bones's Dr. Sweets) tweets in one sitting (actually, I was lying down, hoho!) and I am hooked, I tell you. Especially Wilson Bethel's tweets very amusing.

My life is just like Breaking Bad... minus the meth, the sidekick, the murderous rampages, and even a basic understanding of chemistry...

I'm making a film called "Twitter: The Movie". It's tough to cast. There are 140 characters.

He's funny. Amirite?

* Running a business is hard work, you guys. It may seem easy but having a business means working 24/7. Okay, I work whenever I want to, I don't have a boss, I can watch a movie whenever. BUT you never get to fully escape it. Maya-maya someone will send you a text or call you in the middle of the movie you're watching and if it's something bad or a problem, you will never get to enjoy that movie. Or that lunch with friends. So anyway, I like to read about successful people and how they were able to make it big, their habits. I also want to make it big someday ☺ Here's another article- 42 Successful People Share The Best Advice They Ever Received. Hope I can follow their advice. First thing I need to work on: Self-discipline nang bonggang-bongga.

* I came across this list on 9Gag- 20 Life Pleasures That Are Completely Underrated. I strongly agree with #1, 8, 15, 16 and 17.

So that's it for today. Wasn't able to spend (excessive) time on the internet, had to do grown-up stuff like go to the bank. And on that note, just wanted to say I already opened a TITF account! Yeyeyey! One down.
