manila day

According to my sign, this is an auspicious year for me. I will not expect too much but I will pray that things will be in my favor. Last month was sucky but looks like things take a turn for the better. Crossing my fingers (and toes)...

Last Monday- spent the entire day in Manila Ci-tey!

Ycel and I went to the alma mater last Monday. I was expecting the environment to be different from how it was seven years ago. I was delightfully surprised that it still is the same. I'm officially missing my college days. It almost feels nostalgic to walk the halls of LS again...

 

If we had more time, I would've wanted to go eat in aristo, sps and cc. I wanted to visit the lib again but I don't know if we can go inside without a school ID. Can I use my alumni card instead?

MOA afterwards and lunch at David's Tea House. Yummy yummy lunch we had- sweet and sour spareribs, lemon chicken, hakaw and yang chow (that's supposedly good for 2-3 persons but was able to feed 6). Loved their Lemon Chicken, comparable to Wai Ying's. Whenever I go to a Chinese restaurant, I always order lemon chicken when available and Wai Ying's version is my benchmark of good lemon chicken.

Watched Love and Other Drugs. I liked it, Ycel didn't. I thought it was nice. Uber cheesy but nice.

Only, there's too much sex and it's only R13. If I had a 13-year-old kid, I would freak out if she watched this. It's not even PG13 for crying out loud. But then again it would so awkward to watch this with a parent. Ha.
And what happened to Mia Thermopolis? Lost innocence, tsk. It's always hard to accept the fact that people grow up and Ella Enchanted is now fornicating on screen.

Chow time again after movie- Kopi Roti! It's the first time I've set foot in Kopi Roti again ever since AB left for NY. I miss AB. She liked Kopi Roti so much and we'd always go there and I was always complaining to I've reached my saturation point for kopi buns and if I eat one more, I'd throw up. I never thought I'd miss it.

I had fun with Ycel kahit kinakawawa niya ako haha. Dear Ycel, FYI... hindi pa rin ako nakauwi agad. While waiting for the train home, sister dear called and asked me to go to Pius Center where my uncle pari is staying. We had dinner at Max's UN. I'm such a pig. I must have eaten half my weight that day.

What's keeping me busy these days?

Mostly business-related stuff, worrying about life in general, where in the world do I get good nail techs, I'm in love with my National Geographic/Discovery/BBC documentaries, Korean series and my vision board. I'm really trying to change my work habit but it takes time to get out of a habit you've gotten used to. 

Speaking of habits, I'm almost over one (bad) habit. Not bad as in the truest sense of the word, but bad for me. This has something to do with my Feb 15 deadline. At least if I go cold turkey on the 15th, it'd be much easier for me. 

A new habit I have is Cinderella's Sister. I hope they put it in an earlier timeslot. I'm resisting the urge to buy a DVD from my suking pirata.
