Christmas season is also the season for having reunion with friends. Reconciling dates with friends on when to meet is challenging. Almost everyone has a reunion or christmas party to attend.
Last Saturday, I met with Aissa, Juno and Christmas. Wala ang haciendera, wala si Jo. Binibilang ang pera niya sa Masbate. And Ycel had her company xmas party. It was T-party all over again. Spending time with the girls was fun and I really wish I could do it more often than once a year. Well, we do meet but it was like we were never complete.
So what was last Saturday's T-party like? Very much the same. Although I still can't decide whether we're harsher or nicer. Over lunch (or merienda) at A Veneto, topics jumped from T-partying to Gossip Girl to college professors... just about everything under the sun. We dissect things. Analyze movies and tv series. Justify our shared enmity towards certain people and non-people. That was one, looooooong lunch. Buti na lang we ordered bottomless drinks, nasulit. Haha.
After lunch, Aissa treated us to coffee to celebrate her birthday and for passing the bar exams. [It still is hard to believe that my friend IS a lawyer. And I'm glad that fact hasn't gone to her head, unlike other people I know. And Juno will also be one, soon! ] In our search for the lesser-populated Starbucks, we were distracted by the big Office Warehouse sign. We went in and got sucked into the office supplies vortex. I thought I was the only one addicted to ballpens, punchers, scissors and office supplies. As it turns out, all my friends are addicted to office supplies as well. I like that. We were like office-supplies-geeks. Anyway, is it weird or is it weird that even if there were 3 Starbucks in Trinoma, it was still difficult to get a seat? We ended up sipping our coffee de pie. After coffee, we decided to call it a day and head home, ahead of the rest of the population in the mall.
Aside from the effy traffic on my way to IC in the morning, it was an absobloodylutely perfect day!
