AD's birthday today. I'm not sure if this was the first time she's happy it is her birthday but this is the first time I saw her happy that it is her birthday. Gets? AD feels sidetracked as she shares the same birth date with our maternal grandfather. When we were much younger, our mother would go to the province to celebrate our lolo's birth date (btw, our lolo's been dead for years now) instead of celebrating her daughter's birthday at home. She also hates it that she gets one present for her birthday and Christmas. Hey, if I was in her place, I'd be disappointed too.
Anyway, this year was an exception. She was happy this morning. She even asked me to sing her "Happy Birthday." Uto-uto daw ako. Haha. Plus, she had asked our mother to buy her shoes at the Charles & Keith/Aldo/Face Shop sale as her birthday gift to her. Ayun, happy na siya.
Speaking of Christmas gift-giving, I haven't started with my Christmas shopping yet. I would have yet to think of what I would give my sisters and friendly friends. For sure, I'm making my parents a scrapbook page instead of giving them gifts-gifts. I know they would appreciate it more at wala pang reklamo. Basta handmade ko, okay na yun.
Also, I'm happy that I had asked my mother for a Christmas gift in advance and that she already bought it for me: the scanner. Or else, I'll only get Our Daily Bread from her. But I think I'm still getting a copy of Our Daily Bread from her even if she got me a scanner already. I told her not to bother giving me one since I don't use it anyway. But she insists...
Christmas is just 13 days away! The weather's cool and houses are decorated with twinkling lights. I'm a kid at heart and I'll always look forward to Christmas. Although Christmas in our household will be a bit different this year...
