I wish we have something like this in Manila-- a well-maintained park, that is.

According to my older classmates in Spanish, the QC Parks & Wild Life was developed by the same guy who developed the Central Park in New York. Tanong ko... ano'ng nangyari? I guess we're never good preservers of anything. We weren't able to preserve the old buildings in Binondo. We weren't able to preserve the old houses in Sta. Mesa. When we get tired of the old stuff, we look for newer things and move on. We're such a bunch of lemmings... Mahilig makiuso.

Parks in Manila aren't really conducive to relaxation. First of all, it is frickin' hot. Like 37ºC hot. Plus, it also reeks human piss. The Filipino males were raised to believe that it is okay to just take a leak anywhere.

I really hope that we Filipinos will learn how to take care of what we have.
