No Energy

No Happy? I don't think so naman. Sa aking pagkakaalam, ang over sa energy ay nilalayuan dahil OA sila. Anyway, I just wanna say that...

I'M SO TIIIIIIIIIIRED!

Last minute orders, no decent shut-eye for the past two weeks, Simbang Gabi at 4am in the morning, plus those dang government requirements to comply with. However, to set the record straight, I am not complaining (except for the gov't chuva, that I am ranting about). I just want to let it out because I am really super tired these days. Most especially when it's the physical, emotional and mental kind of tiredness. Even if estoy muy cansadissima, I'm still grateful for it because it's worth all the effort.

Just 3 more days before Christmas...

Friday, December 18, 2009

Holla!

Just got home from the third day of Simbang Gabi. I know I sound like a broken record when I say this but, grabe, time really flies. Parang kailan lang I was just anticipating for this time and now it's here. Only 6 days until Christmas and I haven't done any Christmas shopping yet. For the past two weeks, I've been busy with a bazaar and complying with orders. Even if I wanted to blog about certain things, I didn't have the time to do so. Sayang, there were a lot of blog-worthy events pa naman. Well, yeah, I could still write about it now but not with the same intensity like when you're in the heat of the moment. Anyway, without further ado...

#1 It's official. I'm an aunt!

hiccups!

Last Tuesday, December 15 at 4:30-ish pm, my sister gave birth to a baby boy. He weighs 8.3 lbs and is 20 inches long. I wasn't able to go to the hospital right away since I was busy with some other things. Went there the next day. I swear I was so giddy beyond description! Super excited na nga ako wala pa yung baby, mas lalo na nung first time I held him. He's such a cutie patootie. He's so big! His face was so red and his cheeks were so chubby. His eyes were like slits, they're so small! I swear I can't get enough of him. But there's some kind of bad news, too. When the pedia examined the baby, she heard a "different" sound in the baby's chest. She referred to it as a heart murmur, it could be innocent heart murmurs but just to be sure, she referred the case to a pedia-cardio. Turns out baby has two small lesions in his heart. So, although I am so ecstatic over the birth of my nephew, I'm heartbroken as well to find out about his condition. I believe in the power of prayers and I'll pray even harder now for him. I never knew how it feels to have your heart broken, now I know exactly how it feels. But I know God works in wondrous ways. Think positive :)

#2 Since we're on the topic of broken hearts...
Aside from the abovementioned, I've had some sort of a heartbreak recently although the very mababaw kind. Before all of these happened, I was so into Alicia Keys's new single, Try Sleeping with a Broken Heart. I was listening to it on repeat. Not because I was nursing a broken heart. I just think that it's a very nice song. Tapos, ayun... biglang life imitating art. So medyo feel ko siya... EMO! Haha. Keeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeell meeeeh! Chos.

Looking in the sky I could see your face
And I know right where I fit in
Take me, make me, you know that I'll always be in love
With you
Right til the end

#3 Christmas Bazaars

It was my second time to participate in the Christmas Carnivale Bazaar. It was pretty good last year, but this year it was almost un fracaso. I was really surprised to find a bazillion other stalls selling the same stuff as mine. Plus, it wasn't a good location. Argh. Fail. This must be a lesson to me to participate not in only one bazaar, but as many as possible. And I should prepare months ahead, not just a few days before. I thought I learned my lesson last year but seems like I still haven't. And yeah, packaging is everything. Not really everything. Mga 2/3 siguro.

#4 Christmas shopping

Accompanying friends, that is. Anyway, accompanied Ycel do her Christmas shopping last Monday. Still haven't done any. Will do siguro once everything's in order in the house. Seems like I can't get to do other things aside from making orders and cleaning up the room. One-track mind ako these days. I can't even get myself to do my tarea. I've been absent from Spanish classes twice already and I really want to absent myself tomorrow.

#5 Lenka Mall Show
Went to Megamall last Friday to watch Lenka's mall show. I super love Lenka and I have tumblr to thank for introducing me to Lenka's music. I swear she has the cutest face, the cutest voice and the cutest songs. And I sort of can relate to some of her songs. I loved her performance. The only effy thing was she didn't shake the hands of the last ones in line and we weren't allowed to take our picture with her. I bought her CD just for that and you're telling me I can't?!? **hyperventilate** I already have a copy of her album pa naman.

Anyway, I still think it's worth it. I so love her songs so I guess it's money well-spent. I just find in weird that she wasn't that accommodating and to think that there weren't that many fans.

#6 Simbang Gabi
Day 3 of Simbang Gabi. Just 6 more nights to go and I can make that wish. I should write my wish down so as not to forget what it was. Last year, I was able to complete Simbang Gabi but I forgot what was my wish, so I couldn't really say whether or not it came true. I almost failed to complete it this year when yesterday, I woke up at 4:18am. Buti na lang the mass didn't start on time and it was a long gospel reading. Wahaha! I sleep at my sister's house on the street and my co-Simbang Gabi'ers are not in the same house so there's always this danger (danger talaga, no?) of not being able to wake up for the dawn mass. Well, there's the anticipated mass at 7pm but I want to go for the full Simbang Gabi effect, complete with the chilly morning showers and occasional dozing off during the sermon. It wasn't called Misa de Gallo for nothing.

#7 Clearing the Clutter
I'm sleeping over at my sister's house because the house is being repainted and the house is in a complete state of disarray. And when I say disarray, it's disarray at the highest level. After Ondoy, we still haven't fully finished cleaning up and putting things in order. The flood could have been the perfect opportunity to clear the house of clutter but this is somehow near impossible when your mother is a hoarder and a clutterholic. I mean, do you really need to keep all those stuff for (possible) future use?

Anyway, our room's almost done. From yellow, it's now colored light pink. We're also getting rid of the queen-sized bed for more space. I would have to settle for the single bed and I don't know how it would feel like sleeping on a single bed after sleeping on a big bed for the longest time. Where would I put my stuff? Challenging. Haha. Hopefully talaga we could get rid of the clutter this time. Make room for incoming blessings! If you're cluttered, in terms of physical space as well as emotionally, new blessings won't come in. And so I'm prepping my physical space and emotional state of mind so I could receive MORE blessings. Plus, Christmas is just six days away. Paspasan na ito.

Still have a lot I want to blab about but there are things that still need to be done and on that note, Toodles!

(Non)winter Wonderland

First day of the month! It's December, y'all! Can't help but be super duper mega over excited already. Just 24 more days and we'll be having that Noche Buena feast again. And in addition to my yearly (kusa o pilit man) excitement over the thought of the holidays just because it's the holidays, there's another reason why Christmas in this household will be different and much more exciting~ the birth of my nephew. Vicky's due on the 12th of this month and that means by Christmas, there will be a baby, in da house! **squee** Baby things are all over the house right now and it's not hard to think about the impending birth of my toy nephew.

Just thought that I should write a first day of the month entry, most especially because it's the first day of the happiest month on earth, at least for me. But for now, I'm off to prepare and go to the new "factory." Bazaar is just three days away and I still have a bazillion things to do. Oh no! It just dawned on me that I only have three days left to do everything. Sige, bye na. POSITIVE THINKING~

Ooh Aah

Just a little bit Ooh Aah a little bit more... I'm totally channeling Gina G here. I think I just gave away my age given the aforementioned artist, which by the way, may also be unknown to people my age. Anyway, I'm just taking this opportunity to blog. Lately, it doesn't come that often. The existence of this blog is unknown to my parents and sisters, so I don't really blog when anyone's home.

♥ Started with new level yesterday. We almost didn't enroll because of the profe, but we decided to go through with it since sayang naman because we're just two levels shy from finishing this course altogether. I'm one paranoid girl and it doesn't take much to scare or worry me, so when my classmates told me that this profe scolds and embarrases his students, I had second thoughts. But after the first three hours, it wasn't actually bad. Surprisingly, I had fun. I let my worries and fears take over again. Although it still may be too early to really conclude that he's an okay teacher. Basta, I'm just happy that this is the second to the last level for us. I'm in the momentum so I'm reading El Zahir as of the moment. Sana matapos ko before Christmas. Sana matapos ko lang.

♥ After class, had lunch with my classmates and off to Divisoria I went. I know going to Divi at this time of the year is SUICIDE, but I still went. I had to. Traffic going there wasn't as bad. Clearly, I was still in denial at first that Divi would be swarming with people. However, that illusion that Divi isn't crowded just a few days before Christmas was shattered when I saw the sea of people I was approaching. In situations like this, sundin lang ang payo ni Johnnie Walker, "Keep Walking." Good thing I knew what I needed to buy and headed straight to my planned destinations. Wala nang paligoy-ligoy pa. My golly banana, I must have been carrying KILOS and KILOS of stuff. I was super tired and all I wanted was to reach home, take a bath and just lie down on my bed, even if that meant not waiting for the next train and standing the whole 30-minute ride going home. I promise next year talaga I'd start early to avoid scenarios such as this one. Promise. Promise. Promise.

♥ I saw these brush and mirror sets sold at P20 each and thought it would make a nice xmas gift for the househelps.
Me: Magkano po isa?
Ale: Bente po isa.
Me: Kukuha po ako.
I took five sets.
Me: Wala na po bawas? Lima naman po kukunin ko.
Ale: Wala na eh.
Me: Sige na po.
Ale: Haynaku MOMMY, tapat na po yan.
Napatingin na lang ako sa tiyan ko. Napagkamalan na naman ata akong buntis :/ I died.

FINALLY! Yan lang ang masasabi ko. Ulitin ko pa. FINALLY! :) Puede ser, puede ser...

♥ I want to watch New Moon and A Christmas Carol (in 3D) but I'm busy preparing for the bazaar (this weekend !) . Delayed gratification ang drama ko ngayon. Hopefully, I can recover all expenses and profit bazillions (Asa!) from the bazaar and other orders. I'm in the mood to work and concoct tomorrow later~ I gotta feeling, that tonight's gonna be a good, good night :D

♥ Last day of November. Just wanna share :) We all know what's just around the corner! Lurking. Looming. And I'm so excited! Who cares if there aren't much christmas lights this year? Basta, I'm going to enjoy the holidays.

Just want to write pa but I'm getting light-headed na. I'm sleepy already. Must. Slee....zzzzzzzz

Reminder to self: Think happy thoughts

T wenty nine days left 'til Christmas day! I love love love the Christmas season but it's scary when you realize how quickly time flies. Parang kailan lang I was waiting for New Moon's release and my sister's giving birth and now New Moon is already out in the theaters (but I haven't seen it yet) and my sister's will give birth very, very soon.

I have been busy, busy thinking that I should be busy. I'm not yet prepared for the bazaar on the 5th and 6th of December. It's like I'm taking my sweet time since the bazaar is not until two weeks time pa when in fact, I have only two weeks left. Actually, less than two weeks. BUT here I am dilly-dallying. First of all, I haven't fully adjusted yet to my current set-up which is I do all these stuff in my sister's house. Well, yeah, it's just on the next street but still it's not the same. Before, all I have to do is exit through the sliding door and voila! I'm in my work area. And since it's solely for business purposes, I can leave my stuff around the sink at night and pick up where I left off the next day. It's easier to start your day, parang you haven't lost your momentum when what you have to do is right there in front of your eyes. Hay. Baka naman tamad lang talaga ako. But I want to change that; hence, getting my lazy arse off the bed and computer chair and dragging my feet to the house on the next street. Grabe ako mag-complain, ano? When all I have to do is walk a few steps. I should imagine what other people have to go through everyday commute to work and just be thankful that I don't have to go through horrendous traffic everyday. Oh well...

Also related to the bazaar preparations. I wanna make pukpok my head (LOL) for being disorganized. I haven't planned all this properly and so I have to make several trips back and forth to my suppliers. This is okay if I have a driver at my beck and call (I don't) and gas prices are getting more and more expensive. And so my work has been stalled several times because I ran out of this, ran out of that. Plus, I kinda feel like my stars aren't aligned this time. I've been running into "small accidents," like when I spilled a gallon of my ingredient and broke my beaker into pieces. And since I broke my beaker, I need to make a trip AGAIN to a supplier just for that. I could buy from Mercury Drug but it would be more expensive there. I think I have to list down all the other things I need from that shop para isahan na lang. Argh.

Another thing I want to rant about is the very low daily sales we've been getting. Last month, just after the great flood of Ondoy, we were doing great. But after the Undas vacation, sales started dwindling. They say maybe because there's this newly-opened home service salon & spa inside the village and they're offering their services for cheap! AS IN CHEAP! It's a 2-for-1 massage at only P299, so that's like P150 per person. Maybe that is the reason. Maybe not. And so AD suggested that I launch a promo. At first I was hesitant because at this time of the year, people come flocking but looks like this year would be an exception. We have to make our presence felt daw. So there's another thing I have to do. Argh.

I'm soooo not in the mood for anything. I just want to sleep or watch TV all day. Recently, parang I'm always not in the mood for anything, am lethargic, am junk-food-binging and easily annoyed. OH I DON'T KNOW. Dati, whenever I don't feel good or am annoyed at something or someone, I blog. Blogging has been my way of releasing stress and anxiety but now that my sister's here 24/7, literally, I can't find time to do so. So now parang wala na akong outlet. I know it's a little selfish of me but I kinda missed it when there were only two of us in the room. Clean-up was easier and we both did chores. Now, it's harder to keep things orderly especially when Vicky's computer is right smack in the middle of the room with all those cables and wires in a mess on the floor. And no one's really helping in organizing the closet. Put a hamper of newly-laundered clothes in the room and if I don't put it inside the closet, it'll remain there for weeks. Before, we to agreed to take turns putting the clothes in the closet but now, no one's up for it. Siguro kaya magulo isip ko kasi magulo paligid ko. Hay. There are plans to repaint the entire house. I hope this could be done real soon because I want to organize everything already. Everyone's waiting for the repainting before organizing their stuff. I can't wait! I'm starting to get overwhelmed with all the clutter, my clutter than I can't seem to organize just yet. Parang everything's in limbo. Parang naka-pause.

This must be my first rant after a loooong time. Happiness nga daw is a decision but what if there are external factors that hinder you from getting it? Because I've been trying to do whatever it takes to go after that happiness but something always gets in the way (y pienso que en un esfuerzo consciente). Unfortunately, the secret doesn't work all the time. Nakakainis.

New Blood

First was Twilight. Then came True Blood. Now, here's Vampire Diaries.

Twilight rekindled the fascination over vampires and now it's raining vampire-this, vampire-that. Not that I am complaining because I kind of got into the bandwagon [Sellout! LOL] and am planning on watching New Moon anytime soon.

Now back to Vampire Dairies. Discovered this show through CW's inserts in their Gossip Girl episodes~ NEXT ON CW: Vampire Diaries. I thought this might be good so I went ahead and downloaded it.

Downloaded episode 1. Lead vampire isn't as hot as RPattz but contrabida vampire (Ian Somerhalder) is good-looking.

Downloaded episode 2: Started to think this could be too emo for my liking, which stalled my download process.

It's nice naman. Although very Twilight-ish. A vampire who wants to turn over a new leaf and falls in love with a mortal. Sounds very family, right? Though I don't know which came first.

GG S03 Eps 8 and 9 Round-up

Backlogged. I think this is happening because GG is not as good as it was. Plus, I'm pretty busy these days. Plus, someone's been hogging my internet connection. A myriad of reasons, actually. But now that I've woken up earlier than usual and I have the internet connection to myself (because internet-hogger is still asleep), here it is~

Episode 8- The Grandfather: Part II

To start things off, can I just say that Nate is uberly good-looking? A far cry from his cousin, Tripp. Well, maybe Tripp is more gifted in the brain department. Going back to Nate's hawtness, I can't wait for the remake of Footloose!

And Vanessa's back, y'all! With her goody-two shoes facade, she ruins it for Nate and Co. I'd rather have her killed in this series than Bart Bass. Bart Bass is not annoying. Bart Bass doesn't pretend like he's a good person. Vanessa IS annoying and feels as if she's a good and principled person when in fact, she is frickin' not. At affected talaga ako? YES. I HATE HER. I HATE HER MORE THAN JENNIFER TALLULAH HUMPHREY. I hope she gets run over by a 1o-wheeler truck...

Speaking of Jenny, you better take a good look at her face sans eyeliner cos this might be the last time she'll be seen without those raccoon-eyes. She's sick this episode and I just want to say ang sosyal ni Jenny Humphrey because she has a famous actress (of Endless Knights fame, mind you. LOL) to keep her company. Which also reminds me how yabang Dan is since he orders Olivia to keep his sister company. And man, I'd say this show proves that kindergarten song we used to sing, "It's A Small World After All." Dan dated Serena who is fake-dating Patrick who was co-stars with and dated Olivia who is dating Dan. WTF! Wow That's Funny! Why did Melrose Place even make a remake of that 90s show when Gossip Girl is basically Melrose Place 09?

And my favorite bit of episode 8- Serena and Blair's bickering. I just love these two and although their friendship is a stressful one, I totally live for their fights because they remind me that they're still kids. I love seeing these characters act their age once in awhile.

Blair's karma for telling her friends, "Please, I'm not friends with staff."

Teenagers should act like teenagers and it just creeps me out that these kids act as if they're thirtysomethings. Serena pushing Blair into that cake is just priceless, I tell you.

Episode 9- They Shoot Humphreys, Don't They?

I'd rather that they shoot Abrams before the Humphreys.

This episode is all about Jennifer Tallulah. Now that I know Jenny's middle name, I can't help but refer to her with her full name. I hate Jenny but these days, Vanessa ticks me off more than Jenny does. I'm just wondering why Jenny thinks she's queen of the Upper East Side when practically, saling-cat-cat lang siya? With all those girls richer and prettier than her, I don't see why she should be UES's queen? At least among private schools? Weird if you think about it... because Jenny treats her "minions" badly when all they have to do so snap Jennifer Tallulah out from her illusion is to ditch her. What did we learn from Mean Girls? To dethrone queen bee, she should be rid of her:
  1. Army of skanks
  2. Hot boyfriend
  3. Rockin' body
Jennifer Tallulah doesn't have a hot boyfriend, Nate was just nice to escort her. Jennifer Tallulah may have a rockin' body but she doesn't rock her frock with class, I say. In this year's debutante ball, she reminded me of an out-of-place Japayuki in a high society event. [Think Gretchen Barretto. Not that Gretchen is Japayuki material but I don't think high society welcomes her with open arms. Unlike Dawn Zulueta.] And the easiest to take away from Jennifer Tallulah is her army of skanks, but I guess her army of skanks can't think that for themselves. Jennifer Tallulah does not measure up to Blair. When Blair was queen bee, she had smart people for minions. Now where's Jenny's Nelly Yuki?

Those finger-only gloves are abominable.
Jenny's minions, you still have time to run, not walk, away.

Eric Van der Woodsen should be the Queen Bee. Vote Eric for Queen Bee! Eric's nails are more perfectly manicured than Jenny's and for that he should be Constance Billard/St. Jude's Queen Bee.

For the nth time, Blair and Serena kiss and make up. Thanks to Chuck... I think I might crush on Chuck anytime soon but I'm afraid not until he gets rid of his SOCO-ish voice.

Chuck entrapped these two inside an elevator. Genius, huh? And until they reconcile, Chuck won't let them leave. Again, I'm going to say that I live for Serena and Blair's constant bickering and for Blair's witty lines such as this one: "I'm trapped in the elevator with someone who sucks all the air out of the room. Send help or I'll be dead within the hour."

And this episode's UH-OH moment, Serena falling into Tripp's bait. Well, I do think that Tripp didn't exactly hire Serena so he could start an affair with her. However, I do think that this could be the path we're getting into. But this is all Serena's fault. First, she congratulates Tripp while twirling her braided her around her fingers. Second, she comes in for an interview wearing a plunging-neckline top. And that hair. Serena is just a walking and talking temptation and she's just dangling herself in front of Tripp.

After Tripp promised to keep things friendly and professional and to never to cross that line, they shook hand and then Tripp caresses Serena's injury. Oh no, you did not! There, they already crossed the line. EXCITING! Maybe there's something about being a congressman that makes you want to take in a mistress right away.
