Ever since, one of my favorite subjects in school was History. Even if the teaching methods employed by most of my History were the usual memorization of names, places and most especially dates, I still enjoyed it pretty much. Maybe I'm just a history geek at heart (and I'm proud of it). I read Ocampo's first Looking Back book and I enjoyed it and was the reason why I bought Book 2. And since I'm also chismosa, history + chismis = HAPPY HISTORY GEEK ☺ I'm also happy with the purchase since it's only 95 bucks. What a steal! Very, very interesting read. If you're into history and also culture na rin (since history shaped our culture), this is very fun and informative. History is much more enjoyable if we know the back stories, the intrigues, the drama behind all those dates and this book (along with other Ambeth Ocampo books) will give you just that- from Aguinaldo's time to the Beatlemania.
