GG S02 E13: O Brother, Where Bart Thou?

And so they killed Bart Bass. Now Lily's free to do whatever she wants to do.

So, is Lily really mourning over Bart's death? Then why was she having this rendezvous with Rufus Humphrey? And of all places, they chose a very public place to meet~ Central Park (which, btw, is breathtaking! Lovely autumn-y backdrop). But then again, if they're not doing something wrong, they shoudn't have to hide, right? But the timing's just off and for someone who is supposedly "up there," people would be watching.

And I'm not so sure but I think Lily was in that hospital in Paris because she was preggers with Rufus' baby and she had it aborted. Which Cece told Rufus after so many light years, therefore making Rufus change his mind on whether they should rekindle their young love, sweet love. haha

I remember last week I said that the Blair and Chuck thing is getting kinda old but this week, I think I'm changing my opinion about it.

Usually, Chuck and Blair's relationship revolved around one thing. They claim they love each other but can't seem to get themselves to say those three words, eight letters. But in this episode, Blair let go of all those and tried to comfort Chuck in his sorrow. She even told him she loves him. Props to Blair!

I love it that Chuck is actually capable of real emotions. And I love it that he looks distraught here, v. different from his usual manyakis look.

Apparently, this is the last episode for the year and new episodes will be aired next year. I'm excited for the following episodes! What would happen to Blair and Chuck? Nate and Vanessa? Lily ang Rufus? And I think Dan and Serena are so getting back together (then break up for the 3rd time). Absence makes the heart grow fonder.... hihi =)

thing things

As my brain is not in any state of coherence, I am going to present my (trivial) thoughts in bullet points:

• My obsession over Twilight and RPattz is on its all-time high. I love and hate it at the same time. Love it cos it keeps my dopamine and serotonin levels high~ happiness (even if only the fleeting kind). But hate it as well since the addiction can leave me useless as I spend hours and hours in front of the computer screen.
  

• This was supposed to be posted a week ago but since I only have RPattz in my mind for like two weeks now... I get to post it only now. I GOT MY EYEBROWS GROOMED! Finally. At long last. After 3 months of waiting and having unkempt, forest-y eyebrows, they're all nice and neat now. And I love it! Browhaus is love, y'all.
  

• Another Twilight related thought. In keeping with the tradition of not finishing what I start, I can't get myself to finish reading Breaking Dawn. I don't feel the need to. The 4th and last of the Twilight saga is a little anti-climactic, in my opinion. Boring and predictable. When Bella was transformed into a vampire during the first few chapters, my interest has waned. I want the fragility of the human-vampire relationship. Why does it have to be so soon?
  

• Borrowed Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows from Armida. My favorite was HP and the Prisoner of Azkaban and when books 4 & 5 weren't as fantastic as the 3rd, I lost interest. But then again, I think I need to read the last two books of the series just to complete the HP experience. Haha.
  

• Back issues are quite quick to appear on magazine stands, y'all!

• My mommy and I can't seem to stay in one room for 10 minutes without getting into an argument (usually, about useless things). It makes me feel guilty but at the same time, I know she's being OA again. Next time, I won't say anything. Or at least, I will try.

• I am currently addicted to Tumblr. It's a little bit emo but they usually post nice pictures and beautiful quotes and when I start browsing posts, I usually get sucked into the Tumblr vortex. I'm so in love with Tumblr. These are some of the tumblrs I follow:

GG S02 E12: It's A Wonderful Lie

Shoot, that was bitin. They better have a new episode out next week cos they shouldn't leave me hanging like this. I sorta knew already that they were going to kill off one of the GG characters but I never thought it would be Bart Bass. Would GG be the same without him or maybe his absence from the show wouldn't really any major ramifications to the whole GG storyline? Why do they have to kill Bart Bass? He could be like based in China for a year or two, right?

Jenny's raccoon eyes are back. Does that mean that we will see the "dark side" of Jenny Humphrey once again? Something tells me that she wouldn't take this Nate-Vanessa thing lightly and she might have a little devious plan going on inside that damaged pre-frontal cortex of hers, but then again she defended Vanessa from the "trio of ugly stepsisters." Ha. But still, I can't get over the fact that she was scolding Vanessa for not telling her about Nate. Well, Jenny, two can play that game.

I never really liked Vanessa but she's starting to grow on me. Most especially since she's the one who can kind of put Jenny Humphrey in her place. Not even Rufus Humphrey nor Eleanor Waldorf can do that. Sus, lalaki lang pala eh. Haha. But I'm loving this Nate and Vanessa thing. Finally, Nate makes up his mind as to who he really wants to date. Hopefully, he'd stick with Vanessa til the end of this season.

This episode, every thing's the same with Chuck and Blair. It is getting a little bit old, actually. [Anyway, gossip blogs say that Ed Westwick (Chuck) and Jessica Szohr (Vanessa) are an item in real life. Hmm... totoo kaya?] Back to GG... as with the other "couple," Serena and Dan- I think they still do like each other in that way. Lola Xmas once asked me if Serena and Dan are ever going to get back together... after seeing this episode, I think they would.

Back to the Bart Bass accident... Lily looks distraught. Did Bart Bass have a premonition as to his death that he was seeking for atonement from Lily? If Bart Bass dies, that would make Lily super duper richer than she is right now. That is, if she didn't sign a pre-nup agreement stating otherwise. But in the event that she didn't, she'd be the happiest woman on earth with Bart Bass's money and Rufus Humphrey's body. Haha. Yuck. Matronix.

As I've said, I hope they do have a new episode next week. I wanna know what happens... NOW... but I would have to wait til Tuesday. Bummer.

Keeps Getting Better

So shoot me. I don't care if I'm going overboard with this Twilight/RPattz obsession. What else could distract me from my weekly GG and Chuck fix? None other than RPattz/Twilight. What else could make me not care whether or not I see EC? RPattz/Twilight. Yes, I was am that obsessed. Suffice to say, "RPattz, you are my life now." Ha. That was cheesy.

Obsession over Twilight and RPattz also reconnects you with old friends. Take Anna and me, for example. We were like good friends back in grade school. We used to hang out together, play Qzar and go to Quantum X in Shang together... we even sent snail mails to each other over the summer break. Then high school happened. We never became classmates again and must have never spoken to each other (unintentionally). But looks like the shared obsession over Twilight and Robert Pattinson has opened the lines of communication for us.

Anna was like fueling my obsession. I don't think I was as obsessed before but then she gave me all these websites and videos to watch. I'm so guilt-stricken over the time I spend on the net, just ogling at pictures of RPattz. I swear this is not the end of it.

At akala ko lamang ako sa iba...

I bought my ticket to the Twilight movie last, last Monday for Sunday's screening. I was telling everybody 'I have tickets!' proudly and then just imagine my disappointment when those people have already seen it. But it was also a good thing that my friends have seen it before I did so they were able to forewarn me and advise me not to expect too much.

And so the highly-anticipated time has come... Sunday 9pm. (Never mind that prior to this, there was a little shiteous drama) Upon seeing the looong line, I was glad I purchased the tickets in advance. Plus, we had the best seats in the cinema- right smack in the middle, baby!

Start na!

Giddyness. But I was trying not to let it show. I don't wanna come across as an obsessive fan. Note to self: Forget the book while inside the cinema. I did try. Though sometimes you just can't help but recall the scenes in the book and compare it to the movie. But I was able to stop myself. Concentrate.

• I wasn't able to concentrate during the first few minutes into the movie. I failed to notice if Edward's eyes were black.
  
• Edward gagging on Bella's "sweet smell." A little funny cos it seemed as if Bella had B.O.
  
• Doesn't Bella have friends in Phoenix?
  
• Carlisle's kabuki face. People were laughing really hard during the scene when Carlisle first appeared. In fairness, tinalo nila ang "Have you MET?" look ng mga artista dito sa Pilipinas.
  
• I agree with Juno... Charlie was more likeable in the movie than in the books.
  
• I was expecting Mike Newton to be cuter.
  
• In the meadow scene, I was expecting it to look like this...

• When Edward was showing Bella his "powers" the scene was a little Smallville-ish for me. Haha. Show and tell ba ito, Edward?
  
• And yeah, CHEESINESS!
• The movie reminded me of a Hallmark movie.

Whatever. I think I was trying too hard to be cool and not act too fangirl-y that I was trying to dissect the film and not just take it in as a whole. But I still LOVE it! Blind faith. And so I am off to a cinema nearby to take it all in...

Might as well face it I'm addicted to Twilight.
